Assassination of John F. Kennedy WebQuest, Puzzle & Project | Distance Learning

In this lesson, students learn interesting facts about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy as they complete several projects including a WebQuest (Internet Scavenger Hunt) to answer questions about the topic. A complete answer key is provided for the WebQuest for easy grading, along with resources for both teachers and students. The student questions are included in both a print version and a digital (editable) version to make it easy for students to complete the lesson digitally or on paper. Also included with this lesson is a word search puzzle that includes an answer key. Additionally, a video project is included, allowing students to utilize Adobe Express (formerly Adobe Spark), a free, no download needed option.

Introduction to Adobe Photoshop (Basics) | Distance Learning

Introduction to Adobe Photoshop gives students a step-by-step tutorial to learn the beginning commands of Adobe Photoshop. After following the instruction (screen shots are included), students combine their “before” and “after” pictures into a simple PowerPoint (or Google Slides) to make grading easy. Finally, students complete a short creative activity to demonstrate their understanding of their learning. Additional links to other tutorials are also included in the lesson to assist learners, as needed. Instructions are for the paid PC version of Adobe Photoshop CC (2014 or 15), but are easily modifiable for Apple/MAC computers. This lesson was created for 8th grade students but is appropriate for any age group just starting out with Adobe Photoshop.

Fun Facts, comprehension questions,extension activities and links are also provided as is the key. Can be used as part of a unit on oceans, for Earth Day, World Ocean Day or as an activity for a Friday, before a vacation break or as an end of the year activity. This can be a one day class resource or used for a couple of days depending on whether the activities(creative writing/art work/online simulation games, etc.) are used with the students.
