Statement of Faith:

I believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. I believe that Jesus is fully God and fully human, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and paid the penalty for our sins through his death on the cross, resurrected on the third day having victory over death. I believe in the trinity, that God is existent in 3 separate persons - God the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe, as Calvary Chapel states, “that all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord.”

Yearly Planning

State Requirements: Research the requirements to homeschool in your state. Plan out what you need to do to ensure you are following the necessary steps to homeschool this year.

Academic Focus: Create a list of what you want to focus your teaching on this year. This is a lot like creating goals but flexible enough to come back to and change as your child’s needs change. I provided one with suggested subjects and one blank for you to fill in with your choice if you'd like. Print one of these for every child.

Daily Rhythm: Design the flow of every day with this flexible chart. This page is if you do not need to plan something different for each day. Choose this or the previous page. You do not need to use both. These are in replace of traditional timed ‘schedules’ just with more flexibility.

It could also be used for a month or two weeks, whatever you and your children need! It is designed for you to make a list, in order or not, under each subject that can then be marked off as completed. I did not put it as Monday-Friday to allow for flexibility. But you could write that in the boxes if you’d like_._

Other Great Features

Monthly Journal: Journal your proudest moments, things you’ve noticed about your child, and other reflections in this monthly journal.

Assessment and Grades: Record any assessments, formal or informal, and the grade, if given on this simple and organized chart. You can use one for each child and each subject or just write all of the subjects together.

Attendance: Log your attendance for any state requirements. Each semester is on two pages to be kept next to each other. You could use it for multiple children by drawing a check in a different colored pen for each child in the space provided.

-------------------------------------------------------

This is NOT a one-size-fits-all, print-and-go planner. This is designed for you to purposefully look through and choose the features you want to use and print those pages only.

Once you have, you can print your choices in these ways:

  • Print out and spiral bind them into a year-long planner and journal. Make sure you make enough copies of the lesson plans to cover your year.

  • Print out and put items in a three-ring binder, with or without sheet protectors. This allows you to take out what you need when you need it.

  • Print your year-long planning items and keep them in a folder. Then, only what you need for the current week and keep that on a clipboard or small three-ring binder.

French Journée du Chandail Rose Writing Pack-Pink Shirt Day Activities-French

By La trousse de Madame

French Pink Shirt Day Activity Pack

This quick and easy resource is for use near the end of the month of February to recognize Pink Shirt Day. The story behind this day is one that has a positive influence on students as they understand that it is NOT OK to bully EVER.

I hope you are able to use this resource in your class by quickly making copies and allowing students to use their creativity and unique perspectives to colour and decorate how they see fit.

Personally, I made copies onto pink printer paper in poster size 200% to make two big posters with the title 'Jour du chandail rose' and students have placed their T-shirts around the poster. Older students will also make theirs with a writing piece to explain their views on Pink Shirt Day in French.

Merci:

Thank you for visiting my TeachShare store and for downloading this FREEBIE

How to use this resource:

1. Copy a set for students. I like to copy multiple sets (i.e. 3 sets of 8 to insure that students sitting with one another do not have the same page next to them. I find this allows for more creative development as they do not copy their neighbour).

2. Let students colour and create and cut the shape of the T-shirt out

3. Display on a bulletin board or on the wall of your school

4. Use writing sheets to create slogans, writing prompts, and a quick paragraph about why bullying is not OK

JE VOUS SOUHAITE UNE BONNE JOURNÉE DU CHANDAIL ROSE

Who can use this resource:

Teachers who are looking for French resources who want quick and easy NO PREP materials that their students will love. A fresh new look on a great idea and the best part is you just have to click 'print'.

Students love the clear lettering and can get creative using all the various pink writing materials in the class. I gave my students free reign of anything pink and they came up with their own unique designs.

Students are proud to be a part of a bigger project that they can all display with pride.

What grade level:

I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from K-3 will find these most useful and teachers can come back to the texts with any students who may be experiencing challenges in their French reading skills. Core French teachers will be sure to add the resource to their repertoire for Grades 4 to 6 as they learn to read and write at the Junior level.

If you love this resource:

***1. French SOR Sound Cards

***2. French Decodable Reading

***3. Roles et Responsabilités

***4. French Number Line

***5. French Attention Grabbers

***6. French Speaking Passport

***7. French Pyramid Reading

***8. French Alphabet Workbook

If you prefer things all bundled together:

***1 . French Decodable BUNDLE BEST DEAL

***2 . Phrases Decodables BUNDLE SUPER DEAL

Some of the Benefits of this resource:

  1. Students use hands on materials
  2. Boost confidence in French language acquisition with whole group, small group, independent work, and one-to-one instruction using the same resource
  3. Each alphabet sheet may be used independently or as a cumulative workbook of French activities
  4. Students grow in independence at their own pace
  5. Reinforce decoding and encoding skills
  6. Social wellness and personal autonomy in using French in the classroom
  7. Scaffold and support language acquisition, oral communication, and writing skills
  8. Alphabet set can be used all year long and re-introduced each year going forward

ACCESS test scores data tracker for Google Sheets

By TamiaDesigns

Easily monitor and analyze your students' WIDA ACCESS scores with this user-friendly Google Sheets template, designed to track both group and individual student progress. This powerful tool, created based on my years of experience working with ACCESS test scores, provides clear visualizations and detailed performance insights. Track scores for all students in one place, while also viewing detailed data for each individual student’s performance. Visualize student progress over time with automatically generated bar graphs, highlighting trends in language proficiency across the four domains (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing). Dynamic checkboxes automatically update based on student progress towards specific goals such as a state-issued target score, a minimum required literacy score, or a minimum score to exit EL status. The percentage of students achieving these goals is also calculated automatically, with minimal effort on your part.

Also included is recording of the number of service minutes (push-in or pullout) that each student receives. I've used this in the past to justify the minutes of service (more or less) for students the following year, and even to advocate for the hiring of another EL teacher when I could clearly demonstrate that a reduction in minutes of support was leading to failure to make progress. There are also checkboxes to identify which students are on IEPs or 504 plans.

The file is currently set up with the required exit scores in Massachusetts, as that is where I work, but you can quickly and easily change those to your state's standards.

I have also included other Massachussetts-specific templates that have space to record MCAS scores. In Massachusetts we are also required to have student success plans for students who do not reach their state-assigned target on the ACCESS test. The state does not have a specific format that they require for the student success plans. The one I've included here is one that I have used and the state has been happy with it. Whether your state requires them or not, I think student success plans are a good idea for any student who is making slow or no progress on ACCESS.

This tracker is perfect for EL coordinators, teachers, and administrators focused on making data-driven decisions to improve student outcomes! All the sheets are printable. The individual student records are ideal for focusing conversations with students about their progress.

I cannot be your Google Sheets tech support person, but I have set the file up to be as automated as I can make it. For example, all the check boxes are triggered automatically. The file also comes with several pages of explanations.

Please note: 1) this file will NOT work in Excel and 2) I am not affiliated with WIDA in any way.

You will receive a PDF with a link to make your own copy of the file.

Terms of use:

Purchasing this product grants permission for use by ONE teacher or administrator. If you have colleagues who would like to use this file, please respect the huge amount of time I have put into making this for you and direct them to my store to buy their own copy! Thank you!
