Students often can/will recite the basics of SOME of the Bill of Rights but often do not know how they apply to their personal life. They believe that it was written years ago and does not have any relevant meaning to the HERE and NOW. With this interactive activity, my US History and Government classes dived into the Bill of Rights and learned how to apply each of the Amendments to their personal life. This brought about outstanding debates in class (and online) about civil rights and liberties.

This was created as a PDF document to use in the classroom. There is also a Digital Learning Format where it can be assigned to students to complete in a virtual setting such as Google Classroom, Canvas, etc.

In this project, you will have the opportunity to explore the rich history and vibrant culture of the United States' capital city, Washington D.C. Your task is to create an engaging virtual tour that showcases the top landmarks, attractions, and historical sites in the city.

During these crazy times Florida Legislature is very busy trying to keep us out of another Government shutdown. They have been receiving many petitions and concerns about how things are being run in the state of Florida, especially in areas such as Lee County. You have been chosen to propose a bill dealing with an issue that you feel needs the most addressing. Make sure that your bill is well researched and carefully stated seeing as Florida Legislature is so busy that they are not going to be able to meet with you. Your proposal will be submitted in poster form and due to government shortages; you will be providing a voting box. Please make sure that you advertise your bill well and that there is now question left unanswered, seeing as you will not be there to answer them. It is noted that this book study takes 3 weeks to complete, but it can be modified to complete in two weeks. If possible, geography & world history instructors are encouraged to work alongside the language arts instructor.

This lesson teaches beyond the facts about the Three Gorges Dam and will encourage higher-level thinking, along with teamwork to lead students to understand the triumphs (benefits) & tragedies (costs) of China's Three Gorges Dam.

China's government believed it would solve many of its pollution, flooding, trading, transportation, and energy problems, but over time, China's government realized it also led to tragedy for many Chinese citizens. This lesson will make a great impact and help your students explore the geographical, economic, and social aspects of Chinese culture surrounding the Three Gorges Dam.
