Review Game: Constitution Taboo {History Guru}

Constitution Taboo is a fun and engaging way for students to review for an end of unit test on ecosystems or to help prepare for any upcoming state standardized test. This product contains directions for playing Constitution Taboo and 15 Taboo cards. Topics covered include: Preamble, Article I, Bear Arms, Civil Trial, Bill of Rights, Amendment, and many more! This game can be played with the whole class or you may create smaller groups within your class to play against each other.   • Divide the class into 6 groups. Each group will have two teams of 3. Place the bell/timer and cards in the center of the table.
  • Choose one person from each team to be the first clue giver.  She/he sits opposite of their team and draws a card, keeping it hidden from their team and the opposing team.
  • Give verbal clues to your teammates to help them guess the word printed at the top of the card. Do not use the words that are printed on the Taboo list on the card.  Each team will choose one card per turn and will have 30 seconds to gives clues and guess the correct word. 
  • One person from the opposing team stands near the team giving the clues. He/she will make sure the clue giver doesn’t use the words listed on the card. If you hear the clue giver use the Taboo word they must move on to another word. 
  • If after 30 seconds the team doesn’t guess the correct word then the opposite team will have a chance to guess the correct word and earn the point. 
  • The team with the biggest number of words guessed wins.
