My Pre-Writing Program - Fine Motor Activities - Homework, Kindegarten, Preschoo
By All Therapy Resources
Pre-writing skills are skills that children need to achieve before they can learn to write letters. Firstly, children must understand how to draw the basic shapes (i.e. circle, diagonal, straight line etc) as these help form the basis of letters. This program explores this further and provides specific examples to support teachers, parents and other adults to implement this program for their child or student.
This program outlines two weeks worth of homework ideas for students/children to work on to develop their pre-writing skills as well as making learning fun!

UFLI Letter Tracing Practice | I Spy Sheets | LETTERCASE | Handwriting
By Puddle Jumpers Speech Pathology
Do you need to give your students extra practice for their sounds and uppercase and lowercase letter formation? The practice in these worksheets will help students: identify the letter name, the sound that is represented by the letter, find pictures that also contain the same sound and practice their letter formation.
These worksheets may align with the UFLI Scope and Sequence Lessons and may also be used for other systematic synthetic phonics programs that focus on correct letter formation. NOTE: This product is not endorsed by UFLI Foundations nor is it affiliated in any way. No part of this product copies any material found in the manual or the toolbox.
STOP!! Do you want these one page I Spy Letter Tracing Sheets for FREE? Join my email list and I’ll send you free practice sheets! NOTE the free version will not contain the alternate fonts for q, t and y or the uppercase tracing. Click here to join my mailing list and receive these sheets for free.
Contents:
You will need:
-Pencil for tracing letters
-Colored markers or pencils for coloring.
Instructions
Using these worksheets, students will have opportunities to:
1. trace the letter.
2. identify the sound that the letter represents.
3. use phonemic awareness to find pictures with the same sound
4. color the pictures with the same sound to demonstrate understanding of the sound.
5. continue tracing the letter for handwriting practice.
Other ideas: Instead of tracing letters you could ask the student to write the words that start with that letter sound.
What other teacher’s are saying about my other products:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lucky Squares: My students beg me to play this whenever they have a bit of free time!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honeycomb Race: These are awesome! Such an easy extension from UFLI lessons to use for centers, homework, small groups. I love these!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My students love playing the Dots and Boxes game! It provides great practice and reinforcement of the skill we're working on in UFLI. I have extra copies that I keep for fast finishers, so they can play with a classmate.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Capture the Flag: This is a great resource! I love UFLI and having an additional game to practice the sound we are working on is very engaging for my students.
