This product is a differentiated math mystery that is aligned with the 4th-grade Engage NY/Eureka math curriculum. It includes a scenario explaining what the problem is- an angry mayor has canceled Christmas for the town after being hit with a snowball during his speech at the annual Christmas lighting. The product has a suspect list of 10 people, and 5 clues that narrow down the suspect list to just one person. Each clue has a worksheet A & B and an answer key for all worksheets. Worksheet A for each clue aligns with the standards but at a lower level for students who struggle with this skill. Worksheet B is a more challenging version for higher-level students to offer enrichment. Worksheets A & B look the same; they have the same appearance clues and the letters are in the same spot on the equations. This allows students to work on the same assignment but at their instructional level to allow for more confidence and success.
