This is a fun and silly St. Patrick's Day activity to get your students writing. They can read the poem Five Crazy Leprechauns and then create their own little poem. There is a page that lays out the way to write the poem. Students will need to know what an adjective and verb is. If you have older students and want to extend it for them print the 'Create your own Leprechaun Poem' table twice and have the students start at 10 leprechauns. You can choose whether your students have to rhyme or if it is a free style poem. There are so many ways you can use this in the classroom. Included is also a cute page for them to write their own poem on.

Do your students need Morning Meeting ideas? Using different Morning Meeting ideas can lead to tremendous growth academically and socially. The fun Morning Meeting questions can be utilized along with your greeting and other activities.  The spring Morning Meeting questions should be used during the month of March with your students but could be used during other months too. 

There are Mardi Gras questions, St. Patrick Days questions, Women's History questions, and Deaf and Hard of Hearing questions to celebrate the different holidays in March. All of the questions are on Google Slides that can be used every morning during your Morning Meeting routine. All you have to do is bring up the next Google Slide each morning for that day. There are 20 EDITABLE and DIVERSE slides just for the month of March! 

Students will create connections and develop deep discussions with the questions.  Therefore, the skills they are learning during Morning Meeting will lead to connections within their reading texts. Students who practice those skills outside of reading will most likely utilize those same skills while reading. 

Additionally, the March Question of The Day will create deep relationships between you and your students! If you have my other Morning Meeting Slides than you understand how powerful these questions can be!  

This is also an excellent resource to use with your remote learners or to assign to your students’ laptops. You could assign one or more slides to their learning management system for morning meetings and writing or reading activities.

• Integrate close to Saint Patrick's Day with the Shamrock Visual

Note:

•The Holy Trinity is a very complex theological subject. I have tried my best to make it just a bit understandable to littles, although it is still quite a wonderful mystery to even us adults.

•We do not know what the Father looks like and the spirit is unseen. The picture of “God The Father” is just the closest thing I could find to give the students a visual. The dove comes from when Jesus was baptized and the Bible says “The Spirit descended on Him like a dove.” The fire is from when the Spirit came at the Pentecost.

•There is no mention of Saint Patrick in this lesson. Only the Trinity and shamrock visual.

•It’s all from the Bible :If you have any questions on the content of the lesson, please scroll to the very end of this resource to see all of the Bible verses and chapters I studied to make sure this lesson was Biblically accurate. These can also be used as an extension to many of the main points in the lesson.

St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun Craft Projects - Color, Cut and Paste Art Activity

These are easy St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun art activities that are fun to make! Just print out the pages on white paper, have students color and cut out the pieces, and paste the pieces to a piece of construction paper. Easy to follow directions provided.

Two different projects provided in this file, a girl leprechaun and a boy leprechaun. A writing template is also included.

Looking for an activity to do in class in the month of March or on St. Patrick's Day? Here is a easy and complete activity, St. Patrick's Bingo! Included in the set are 30 different Bingo boards (5x5) with the numbers 1-25 on each of them in random placements. The boards are each 8.5 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide - they print 2 per page. The tokens are 3/4" squares and come in two different styles - coins and shamrocks. Each color has 140 tokens that print off on a single piece of paper. The calling numbers are 2" square and come in the numbers 1-30. 26 through 30 arent used in the bingo, but I thought I would throw them in. There are lots of uses for 2" numbered squares (like your calendar?). Cut them apart, laminate them and use this fun game based activity forever! INSTRUCTIONS:

Mystery picture

♣ Print out 1 mystery picture per student.

♣ Students cut up the answer tiles and then place them on the correct question tiles to match the words with the definitions.

♣ They can glue the question tiles onto the answer tiles and color the picture too.

St. Patrick's Day Sudoku

♣ Print out 1 sudoku per student.

♣ Students cut off the right side of the sheet along the dotted line and cut out the missing sudoku pictures. They glue them into the sudoku grid so that all 6 words appear in each row, column and 2x3 frame.

♣ Each word must appear in each row, column and 2x3 frame only once.

♣ Check with the whole class - students have to name in English all pictures in the given row, column or 2x3 frame.
