Tabletop texting is a great way to assess student learning on the topic you are studying in class. It is also a great way to foster student collaboration skills and keep students engaged.

Use this product after your lesson to review what students have learned. Pair students using the included partner cards, then have students "text" each other about the topic they are studying. My students always loved this activity and I loved it because they were engaged and having fun!

This Lesson Plan or Scope and Sequence was created for special education or life skills classes. Each lesson has three levels that are vertically aligned to provide access for ALL students to the standards, the leveled activities are for guided or independent practice. The units are set up in two-week increments and include two whole group lessons with links to videos or songs that align with the unit of study. This fun and colorful picture sort is ideal for teaching students about animal classifications and groups! This can be used in a center, for small groups, whole class, or independently! Students are asked to sort animal picture cards into the following categories: mammals, birds, fish, insects, and reptiles/amphibians. Can be modified for younger grades (sorting, matching, grouping) and be used in upper grades (classifications, animal groupings, similar characteristics).
