Coupon Binder -Teach your students or children the power of saving money

By Regina Frazier

Save lots of money while shopping using coupons. This colorful, cheerful binder organizes your coupons and makes it easier for you to find just the right coupon you are looking for while out shopping. Teach your students or children in your household the value of saving money by saving coupons. Create your own coupon binder by using baseball card holders that you can find at many dollar stores or office supply stores. You can either use a two inch or three inch binder to set it up and place all your dividers in. There are two coupon sorting sheets available. Rather than flipping through the pages in your binder to insert coupons which can take a lot of time, you can use the coupon sorting mats. Once the coupons are all sorted, you can then place them in your binder. Children of all ages can help with sorting the coupons. Many kids can also help out with gathering coupons and cutting them out. Have your students write about ways they can help their family save money. There are a couple of writing prompts that you could use to have your students share ways that they can help their families save money. This does not necessarily mean just using coupons. It could mean saving money by turning off the lights when not in use, not taking long showers, or turning in cans for redemption. Some kids might write about a job they do such as a paper route, mowing the grass or shoveling snow. Some students might choose to discuss buying items on sale at the store and not demanding expensive name brand items."Older students can work on the total amount of savings from using coupons. They can also work on figuring out percentages to show how much money is saved during each shopping trip and totals for each month. If you are interested in this product please download to see a few more pictures of what you will get. This binder includes the following: coupon binder cover front page coupon binder back page coupon binder spine 2inch coupon binder spine 3 inch full page dividers include the following fruits and vegetables dairy frozen foods canned goods meats boxed foods beverages snacks personal care pet care office supplies household restaurants department stores miscellaneous two pages of sorting mats for coupons Monthly Savings Chart two pages of a Writing prompt on ways kids can help their family save money. By Sean Alexander Dennison

Help your students set meaningful and achievable goals with our "SMART Goals Worksheet." This three-page resource guides students through understanding and applying the SMART goal-setting framework to their overall school life, as well as specific subjects like math and ELA. Perfect for educators who want to instill a sense of purpose, direction, and motivation in their students, this worksheet is an essential tool for fostering personal and academic growth.

Product Highlights:

  1. Understanding the Acronym:
  • Page 1: Students are asked to guess the meaning of the acronym SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) and write down their ideas. This engages their prior knowledge and gets them thinking about goal-setting.
  1. Learning the Framework:
  • Page 2: Provides a detailed explanation of each component of SMART goals. Students learn what each letter stands for and how it applies to setting effective goals. This page ensures they understand the importance of each element in creating realistic and attainable goals.
  1. Setting SMART Goals:
  • Page 3: Students apply what they've learned by setting their own SMART goals. They are prompted to create specific goals for their overall school life, math, and ELA. This practice helps them internalize the framework and see how it can be used in different areas of their academic journey.

Why This Resource Is Essential:

  • Encourages Goal Setting: Teaches students the importance of setting specific and achievable goals, providing a clear direction for their efforts.
  • Promotes Self-Reflection: Helps students reflect on their current academic standing and identify areas for improvement.
  • Enhances Motivation: By setting clear and attainable goals, students are more likely to stay motivated and committed to their academic progress.
  • Develops Critical Thinking: Encourages students to think critically about their goals and the steps needed to achieve them, fostering problem-solving and planning skills.
  • Supports Personal and Academic Growth: Equips students with a valuable life skill that can be applied beyond the classroom, promoting lifelong learning and self-improvement.

Ideal For:

  • Teachers looking to implement goal-setting strategies in their classroom.
  • Educators aiming to enhance students' motivation and academic performance.
  • Counselors and advisors seeking tools to help students plan their academic and personal growth.
  • Parents and caregivers wanting to support their children in setting and achieving their goals.

How to Use:

  • Engage: Start with the first page to get students thinking about what SMART goals might mean. Encourage discussions and share ideas.
  • Educate: Use the second page to teach the SMART framework. Ensure students understand each component and how it contributes to effective goal-setting.
  • Apply: Have students fill out the third page by setting their own SMART goals. Provide guidance and feedback to help them create realistic and meaningful goals.
