This is a 20 page pdf document.

Contains 28 different images in both colored and grey colored. I have also included 3 sized hearts so you can have your choice on what size of tangram you want your students to use. The grey tangram hearts have white lines on them so they are easy to see the pieces and cut out.

Each tangram is on a 3.7" x 4.9" card and there are 4 card on a page. The color tangrams show the individual shapes while the black tangrams only show the whole figure as a sold color.

Please note that this product uses custom tangram shapes and will not work with your standard tangram sets. You will need to use the printable that is included to print out and cut the shapes to build the heart.

This is an interactive partner or small group activity that will have students up and moving throughout the room in order to answer 15 questions about poetic devices in 15 different modern and classic LOVE POEMS!

The product contains 15 multiple questions that have 4 answer choices. You will hang these signs around your classroom. Based on their answer, the students will be directed to another question. If the students make a mistake, they have to retrace their footsteps and find the question(s) they answered incorrectly. Each group/ pair will start at a different question, and the kids will "follow the trail" of questions throughout your room.

Poetic devices and techniques that are analyzed in the questions include: tone, figurative language, diction, syntax, rhyme, characterization, gist, author's purpose, paradox, enjambment, repetition, and anaphora.

Looking for a fun game to get your students speaking French? Use this game to have students practice forming questions and speaking French using vocabulary for Valentine's Day.

Have students work in small groups of 2-4 or project the game and do a whole class activity.

This game includes 40 words. Many of the words will be new to your students as this game is meant not only to practice forming questions, but also to build vocabulary. I like to allow my students to look at the game chart while they play until they’re somewhat familiar with the words.

One student in the small group or class chooses a word on the chart. Other students ask up to 20 questions trying to guess the secret word.

Alternative game play:

To change up the game and to make it more challenging as well as practicing other skills, have the student who chooses the secret word describe it to others in the group. Instead of asking questions about the secret word, other students listen to the description and guess it.

The first in my series, Everything Has a History. Why not show your students that even candy has a history with this fun/informative web quest! Learn facts including marshmallows date back to 2000 BC and King Tut's Tomb contained licorice. I also have included several additional resources and extension activities. Great for a Friday, a day before a vacation activity or just when you'd like to share with kids that...everything has a history!
