I have recreated a classroom version for SPANISH LEARNERS called: ¡PÁREME LA MANO! also called in other countries, TUTTI FRUTI o PARA EL FUEGO. This is a fun game we used to play in school growing up in South America. I have tried in my own classroom and kids LOVE IT! This is such a great game to practice vocabulary and parts of the speech.

This product contains two versions of this game. One for individual play and one for a group game. There are a set of rules for both games but these are just suggested rules as you can set your own depending of the group of kids you teach. Kids will only need a dice, a white board marker and a wiper.

Have your students practice writing Haikus about some of their favorite jobs. They can choose a job or pick from a list of jobs. They then get to brainstorm and create their own Haikus about the job. A fun way to incorporate poetry and Haikus.

These 30 follow me cards are a great way to revise compound and reverse percentages including increasing and decreasing, and compound interest and depreciation.

Play is similar to dominoes, where the cards are placed end to end with the question to the answers, but each question only has one answer. Students connect the questions and answers together forming a chain, with questions steadily getting harder.

A calculator is recommended for the final 15 questions at least.

Some ideas for how to use follow me cards:

• Have students race to connect the cards.
• Have a treasure hunt, around the classroom or outside. Students start with the starter card and record the solutions in the table.
• Students each take ownership of a card, and then get themselves in line correctly with the answers. If there are more than 30 students, assign some students as ‘managers’. If there are less than 30 students, the first students to connect their cards can be given the remaining cards.
• Cut each card in half and give the students a matching activity. They can then glue the answers into their books.

Note: the iPhone app is not as advanced as the iPad app as it only gives basic definitions of cell organelles. The app is a 3D interactive way for students to learn about plant and animal cells. You can move the cell around to see where the different cell organelles are located and click on the organelles to read basic, intermediate, or advanced, descriptions. I wish there were interactive programs like this when I had to learn about cells! This unit aligns with the Ontario Grade 8 Science curriculum. One way to use this package is have students use the app to explore the parts of an animal and a plant cell. After searching online for basic cell diagrams, I did not find any that looked similar to the app so I decided to draw a plant and animal cell in 3D to match the iCell app. The drawings match up to the cells used in the app. Students can look at the basic, intermediate, or advanced descriptions from the app and colour the cell using specific colours as identified in the handout. An additional set of questions is included to ensure students explore through each of the descriptions of the plant and animal cell. They were very engaged using the iCell app and exploring the different descriptions of the cells. How to use Trimino puzzle:

Simply print out and cut up the puzzle pieces and let your pupils put them back together. Students need to match the word with the correct picture. The resultant shape is that of a star.

Print out a few puzzles and turn it into a competition. Whoever resolves the puzzle first, wins. It can be also played in teams.
