This ESL ELL resource helps to review vocabulary for describing physical features. There are 3 culturally diverse photograph grids for the game “Guess who?” There are “Wanted” poster templates and a “guess the celebrity” project.
It is a great way to get students talking and writing. This is a print and go resource that you can also share in the Google classroom.
This resource can be used for whole class discussion or partner activities. Students get an opportunity to practice the vocabulary within various games and activities. These activities could also be set up into station/center work.

Students can interview their classmates to get extra speaking practice. Next they can either write about the classmate or about themselves with several templates to pick from (All about me!). Finally there are 24 personal basic profiles given with 3 suggested games and activities for more speaking practice.
In addition to the pre-designed templates, there are blank options which gives more flexibility to stronger classes. There are 22 interview questions included which students can use for support while writing a paragraph. There is a simplified version also included.

ESL clothing vocabulary activities speaking & writing basic EAL ELL clothes

Enhance your English second language classroom (ESL/EAL/EFL) with this basic clothing lesson plan, packed with six activities to get students speaking and writing! In this resource, students will dive into the world of shopping and clothes while developing their language proficiency. These activities encourage them to engage with their peers while applying basic vocabulary and grammar structures in a fun and relevant context.
Suggested Activities:
First, students conduct a survey on favorite clothing items among their classmates. Next they can channel their inner fashion critic by writing fashion critiques for their favorite celebrities. After students get a budget and they can shop online to make a complete outfit within this budget. Next students will plan a trip by packing a suitcase with different items suitable for each destination or season (In my suitcase, there are…). To strengthen their oral proficiency, there are four dialogue templates for students to practice speaking. Finally, students can showcase their own style by using our social media template.

Start your class off each day with a warm up “question of the day”. It is a great way to get students talking and help you to establish a low stress routine with no extra prep. Many of the “Warm up” activities can be done within a notebook.
It is recommended that you pick a “student leader” to ask the questions to the class for even more oral practice. This also helps with substitute preparation when you have an established routine.

What you will find :
1-Thirty-five cards without words (image only)
2-Thirty-five cards with words and images
3-Bingo calling list for teacher with 40 images (and use as vocabulary list for students too)
Google classroom set up- share slides in your Google classroom and assign each student a number from 1-36. Students can make their own copy of their card. Students use the red circles as bingo markers. IF more markers are needed- select a circle ctrl+D.
