This basic ESL (English as a second language) Four Corners activity helps to encourage conversation while expanding core vocabulary (focusing on adverbs of frequency). This interactive icebreaker combines language learning and movement, making it a perfect way to introduce your students to each other and the English language. Students will actively participate by choosing from four options and discussing their preferences. An extra template is included so that students can make their own slide to share with the class too.
Included:
- Teacher overview
-New vocabulary with engaging images
-Over 36 suggestions for "Questions of the day" or "Four corners"
-Writing idea for students
Vocabulary:
Adverbs of frequency (rarely, often, sometimes, never, always) (26)
How often ...? (10) (once a month, every day, once a week)
Start your ESL class off each day with a “Question of the day”. It is a great way to get students talking and helps you to establish a low stress routine. This resource also works as either a daily warm up or bell ringer activities.
** Please note that the writing and images on this Google slide resource have been flattened and secured to protect my work (therefore not editable). As with every Google slide, buyers can add text boxes to write their own information or insert images.**
