Round to the nearest hundred. This is a packet of 5 pages. One page is for you to print out and give to your students to help them remember when to round up or down. The other 4 pages are practicing rounding to the hundred spot. Students will determine what two hundreds the number is between and which one it is closer to. Then the students will use their knowledge of numbers and round to the nearest hundred. There is one practice page for 3-digit numbers and one for 4-digit numbers.

It’s best to introduce subtraction with regrouping using concrete manipulatives related to place value such as base 10 blocks. Using base 10 blocks is an effective way to support students in developing a conceptual understanding of subtraction because they are able to see the value of each digit in the number. How to Use: Print out double sided on cardstock and laminate. Have students use a dry-erase marker and tissue to erase.

Players: 2-3

Materials: one ten sided die, a chart for each player

Directions: Each player rolls the die three times to make a 3-digit number. The player to fill in the chart correctly in the fastest amount of time wins.

This resource lets students practice place value, expanded form, word form, and word form.
