Make writing fun with Zoo Adventure Roll a Story! Students roll a dice to determine the character, problem, and setting of their story, all with a zoo-themed twist!

Contents:
This Zoo Adventure Roll a Story activity includes everything students need to create their own zoo-themed tales:

• 6 different characters, such as a zookeeper, monkey, or visitor.
• 6 story problems, like getting lost in the zoo or dealing with an animal illness.
• 6 different settings, including the zoo, an aquarium, and more.

Students will roll a dice three times—once for each story element (character, problem, and setting)—then use the results to craft their story. After rolling, students can use one of the included lined writing sheets to plan and write their zoo adventure.

How the Product is Used:
Students will start by rolling a dice three times, each roll determining a key part of their story. The first roll assigns the character, the second roll assigns the problem, and the third roll assigns the setting. Who can use this resource:

French Immersion teachers in the Kindergarten to Grade Three classroom and those teaching beginner French students. Can be used at the Grade 4-6 level with Core French students learning to segment and blend complex sounds.

What grade level:

I personally use these activities with 1st and 2nd Grade students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from K-3 will find these most useful and teachers can come back to them year after year with their students. Core French teachers will be sure to add the resource to their repertoire for Grades 4 to 6 as they learn to read and write at the Junior level.

Children love building with bricks! There are 20 task cards that correspond to seasonal activities. These are the perfect cards to use at centers to encourage students to use their creativity. They are also great for early finishers.
