In this lesson, students learn fun facts about Franz Joseph Haydn and his music as they complete a WebQuest (Internet Scavenger Hunt) to answer questions about the topic. Then, they use that knowledge to create a music composition of their own, using Haydn’s style, using AudioTool, a free Web 2.0 music creation and editing program. A complete answer key is provided for the WebQuest for easy grading, along with resources for both teachers and students. The student questions are included in both a print version and a digital (editable) version to make it easy for students to complete the lesson digitally or on paper. Also included are tutorial links to assist students with the software for the music project. This lesson was designed for middle school (grades 6-8) but could be used in upper elementary as well.

This lesson is great for distance learning/remote learning. You can upload it to your school's learning management system (Google Classroom, Edmodo, Canvas, etc.) or share with students via Google Drive.

Use this informative webquest with your students to learn about the Statue of Liberty, one of the most famous landmarks in the United States.Grades 4 and up.

The first in my series, Everything Has a History. Why not show your students that even candy has a history with this fun/informative web quest! Learn facts including marshmallows date back to 2000 BC and King Tut's Tomb contained licorice. I also have included several additional resources and extension activities. Great for a Friday, a day before a vacation activity or just when you'd like to share with kids that...everything has a history!

On February 28, 1803, President Thomas Jefferson got approval by the Congress for an expedition to explore the lands of the Louisiana Purchase. Meriwether Lewis and William Clark and about 31 other men began the journey. Originally given $2500, the final cost of this trip came to around $38,000. In this lesson, students learn interesting facts about famous engineers as they complete a WebQuest (Internet Scavenger Hunt) to answer questions about the topic. A complete answer key is provided for the WebQuest for easy grading, along with resources for both teachers and students. The student questions are included in both a print version and a digital (editable) version to make it easy for students to complete the lesson digitally or on paper.

This lesson is intended to be an introduction to the topic and was designed for middle school (grades 6-8) but could be used in upper elementary or high school as well. This is also a great lesson to leave for a substitute teacher!

This lesson is great for distance learning/remote learning. You can upload it to your school's learning management system (Google Classroom, Edmodo, Canvas, etc.) or share with students via Google Drive.

This webquest / Internet scavenger hunt is a perfect one day activity for middle schoolers to learn more about Labor Day as they use the Internet to research answers to these questions. It is appropriate for middle school science or technology classes.

The lesson includes the student handout and an answer key, along with a short list of Internet sites that teachers can provide to students to help with the quest if they choose. There are also some additional links to sites if teachers want to expand the lesson. Two versions of the WebQuest are included to let teachers print the questions or to provide them digitally as an interactive page in an editable Microsoft PowerPoint file. Additionally, a word search puzzle (with answer key) is included, perfect for early finishers or to use as a part of the lesson.

This is a great lesson to leave with a sub too!
