Social Story Role Playing Scenario Cards

This product includes 11 social story role-playing cards. For each card provided, students can write their answers independently, with a partner, or in small groups. Students will then be provided with a picture of each role-playing card where they will be required to role-play what is happening in the picture. There are also a variety of questions asked that relate with each role-playing card. At the end of the product, there are 11 picture cards that can be cut-out. Students can make up their own questions, role-play what is happening in the picture, discuss what is wrong about the picture card, write a story about the role-playing picture card that they are provided or choose, etc.

Start school on a positive note as you build classroom community and make your students feel at ease in the classroom. In this product that relates with name calling the following will be covered: having friends is important and why, what makes you a good friend, being a good friend, what should be said to others when you are in the wrong, standing up for others, how someone would feel after someone calls them names, and being a good example for others.
The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. At the end of this product, there are 4 role-playing scenario cards that will require students to discuss how they feel when name calling is taking place, how students would feel in a given situation, and what they can do to stand up for someone who is being called names.

Students will learn about how being a friend is important, what makes a good friend, what should be looked for in a friend, helping others that you care about or hardly know, and understanding how your friends feel in situations that may arise.

Community Building + Cooperation (Team Building) - An Interactive SEL Lesson

This interactive SEL Community Building + Cooperation activity is based on the famous question, "If you were stranded on a desert island..." however, it comes with a small twist! Students will answer get to know you questions that will then turn into their list of items that they can potentially bring on board on their island adventure. The fun part is that they do not know that their answers to the questions are building their lists for the island. Once questions are answered and lists are created, they are put into teams to decide which items must come and which will stay behind! Feeling Left Out Social Story and Role-Playing Scenarios

This product includes 1 social story that focuses on feeling left out. Students will learn the meaning for the words feeling left out, forgotten, excluded, missed out, banned, prohibited, included, and jumping to conclusions.
In the social story that is included in this product that relates with feeling left out, what can happen when you feel left out, what can happen if you jump to conclusions when you feel left out, what you can do when you feel left out, and how you would feel when you are included in events and activities. Students will also think about different scenarios that are presented about what they could do if they feel left out, feel included, or jump to conclusions.
The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. At the end of this product, there are 4 role-playing scenario cards that will require students to discuss how they feel when they are feeling left out and what each character feels in each situation and why, what the character can do to feel better about the given situation, what the student would do if they were in that situation, etc.

This digital download provides FOUR ready to use lessons that focus on communication and working respectfully with others, while also working through challenges, with a hint of perseverance all wrapped into four consecutive lessons! The lessons provided can be used as solo activities or for consecutive weeks, as they build off of one another nicely and provide a continuation of both review of the previous activity while also creating more of a challenge with each "level up" to continue skill building. My students LOVED each of these activities and I was able to adjust and use my creativity to use this with multiple grade levels!
