The remaining pages deal with campaigns and require students to create campaign materials and compose a speech in support of a candidate. Last Page presents a crossword puzzle which provides a comprehensive review of election

terms.

This 24-page document will have your students exploring Canadian politics and the election process by doing a group research project on platforms, creating an infographic on a politician, discovering their own values (and creating their own platform), submitting their own candidacy for class president, as well as making a brochure and poster to support their campaign. What exactly is impeachment? In U.S. History, only three presidents have been impeached. Those presidents were Andrew Johnson,Bill Clinton and Donald Trump(twice). Neither were convicted during a trial and finished out their terms of office.  President, Richard Nixon, was going to be impeached but he resigned, pressured by members of his own Republican party, before he was impeached.  

Use this webquest to introduce students to the issue of impeachment, how the founding fathers determined the use of impeachment in the U.S. Constitution and the history of impeachment.

There are 11 web questions on this topic(including the Order of Succession and the Checks and Balances between the three branches of government). There is also a short Did You Know? section and several comprehension questions. The Teacher Page includes the key and several extension activities.

Madison who would become the 4th President of the United States(1809-1817)), played a very important role in the forming of our US Constitution. In addition to being a delegate, he introduced the first additions to the Constitution(amendments) which came to be known as the Bill of Rights. The notes are adapted to meet your student's individual learning needs. After reviewing and discussing the notes, they will answer comprehension questions to review what was discussed on previous pages, students will read charts, The Bill of Rights, and the 3 Branches of Government chart, and answer questions based on each of these provided. At the end of the product, students are provided with a review that includes multiple choice questions, short answer questions, and will choose 1 of the 10 Amendments in The Bill of Rights and write about why they think it is important.
