This worksheet is for students to practice rounding to the nearest hundred. Students can use the number line on the top of the page to see where the number is located. Contents:
This engaging Halloween I Spy Activity includes a fun-filled search page featuring six Halloween-themed images such as jack-o'-lanterns, ghosts, and witches. Students will count how many of each item they find and then move on to one of the two graphing pages to record their results. Both graphing sheets feature the same images at the bottom, making it easy for students to track and graph their discoveries. 2 Digit Addition with Regrouping Activity #1

This resource includes 40 interactive Google slides, 6 printable worksheets, and an Easel Ready Activity for students to practice adding double digit numbers with regrouping. This math center uses the place value strategy of base 10 blocks to practice solving addition problems with 2 digit addends up to 100. 

The interactive slides allow students to drag moveable base-10 blocks into the tens and ones place to model the addition problem. Students can practice regrouping by moving groups of 10 ones into the box and exchanging the 10 ones for 1 ten. This is a great visual hands on activity to help students conceptually understand how to regroup numbers when moving to the standard algorithm. Every slide gives students the opportunity to practice the problem using the place value mat with base-10 pieces and the standard algorithm.

The resource also includes a blank worksheet template as well as a blank slides template to create additional problems for your students!

The slides and worksheets are divided into two differentiated levels. The first resource allows students to practice adding double digit numbers with sums up to 50 and the second resource allows students to practice adding double digit numbers with sums from 50-100. Each slideshow contains a video link that models how to add double digit numbers using base-10 blocks. 

This resource can be used in Google Classroom for math centers, independent practice, distance learning, or for small group mini-lesson. In addition, this can be used as a teaching resource for a whole class lesson.  Simply project the Google Slides presentation on the whiteboard, use the moveable pieces to model each problem, and give students the worksheet or place value mat to follow along with the lesson. 

Students will understand how to add two digit numbers with regrouping using Base-10 blocks with sums up to 100.

The first worksheet introduces students to the concept of finding fractions of amounts using unit fractions (with a numerator of 1) as a division sum. It also includes a fill in the clue puzzle. The second worksheet expands on this concept, by introducing the idea of finding fractions of amounts as being division of the denominator (splitting the amount into groups) and multiplying by the numerator (counting how many groups we want).

The third worksheet is a puzzle where students link the two similar answers with a straight line that goes through a letter. The letters spell out a famous mathematician. The first differentiation of this includes a reminder of how to find fractions of amounts.

The fourth worksheet consists of a collection of fraction questions about a clock maker. It consists of word problems looking at the digits of a clock, minutes in an hour and hours in a day, all in terms of fractions. The fifth worksheet again looks at fractions word problems. Images are provided to help students find the answers. Differentiation 1 includes a reminder of how to find a fraction of amount. Differentiations 2 and 3 consist of a question with more difficulty.

Worksheet 6 asks students to find 10%, 50% and 25% of amounts, and worksheet 7 extends this to include 20%, 5% and 1%. Differentiation 1 of worksheet 7 includes a helpful guide of how to find each percent as a division. This worksheet is a fun maze activity. The next activity, Percentage grid, encourages using a grid to find percentages, and includes some more challenging percentage questions.

Worksheet 9 takes percentages and puts them into the context of pie charts. The final worksheet consists of work problems involved in finding percentages of amounts.

Teach your students to find the missing addend in a number bond and write the addition equations with these number bond write and wipe flashcards. These differentiated flashcards include 16 unique number bonds (adding up to 10) with space for students to write the two addition number sentences that match the number bond- great for teaching turn around equations (commutative property) and how to compose and decompose numbers.

Print these large cards (4 per page) onto white or colored paper or cardstock and laminate to create interactive write and wipe flashcards- perfect for a math center, small group work, an intervention, or a fun math choice for early finishers. All your students will need is a dry erase marker and cubes (or other manipulatives).

Teach your students to first find the whole number in the number bond (they can find the whole number by looking to see which circle has two lines touching it). Once they find where the whole number is, they have two choices:

If they are missing the whole number, they need to grab the cubes for the two parts and count how many cubes there are all together. If they are missing a part, they need to grab the cubes for the whole number and split it into the two parts.

This teen number sense interactive notebook is a simple activity to get your students to learn about numbers at the beginning of the year. It has very simple square cut-outs that make it super easy for young kinders who are just getting used to using scissors. Students will cut on the dotted lines and fold on the solid lines and paste into a notebook. Students will practice writing rainbow style using colored pencils or crayons. Next, the student will represent numbers in different ways by drawing sets, drawing counters on ten frames and tally marks underneath the appropriate flaps.
