Identify Fractions - Understanding Fractions Using Fraction Bars Task Cards
By Sassycat Corner
The fraction files are back! To truly understand fractions, students must understand the basics of what a fraction is. This DOUBLE set of 72 total task cards gives your students ample opportunity to practice understanding and identifying both fractions of a whole and unit fractions. Works well with any fractions unit, and also works with Grade 3, Module 5, Eureka Math / Engage NY Math. Set 1 includes 36 short answer cards in which students identify the unit fractions and fractions of a whole on fraction bar models. Set 2 includes 36 multiple choice cards in which students name the number of parts to the fraction bar and identify both unit fractions and fractions of the shaded part of the whole.. Also included are 3 bonus worksheets to allow students extra practice with identifying fractions on fraction bar models. Thanks for visiting Sassycat Corner. You'll find many more fraction ideas here under Math - Fractions.

Fractions in Spanish. Learning and practice. Fracciones. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade
By Ms Garcia Store
Fantastic PowerPoint presentation to teach, learn and practice fractions in Spanish.
- What is a fraction?
-Structure of a fraction (numerador and denominador)
- Vocabulary (entero, medio, tercio, cuarto, quinto, sexto, séptimo, octavo)
Eight animated slides explain each of these words.
-2 quiz games to practice:
- How much pizza have I eaten so far? (¿Cuánta pizza he comido hasta ahora?)
- How much pizza is left? (¿Cuánta pizza queda por comer?)
The kids try to guess the answer in both games using fractions. Then they click on the answer button to know if they are right. The two sets of questions are shown in random order each time so that the children do not know the answers beforehand.
Instructions:
When you first open the document, you will be prompted to enable content that is blocked for security reasons. That content is nothing more than the Visual Basic code for the next slide button to achieve random order in both games. Please accept it in order to get the slides of the games in random order.
In the games, you are free to put your own Bitmoji.
I recommend that you watch the preview video to know how it works and where to click to activate each of the animations but it is really intuitive and easy to use. Your students will love this resource and they will learn by playing.

Fraction, Decimal and Percentage Matching Activity
By LittleStreams
This fraction, decimal and percentage matching puzzle is a fun way to test students ability convert between fractions, decimals and percentages. It contains 32 puzzles including all base fractions up to nine-tenths, and also includes a bonus ten-tenths to test understanding of a whole.
It is designed to be easily cut with little wastage. So either the teacher or tutor can prepare the cards by cutting them before hand, or students can cut their own cards, giving them a chance to see the solutions before they attempt the puzzle.
Although this product is made in colour, it prints perfectly well in black and white. Each puzzle is the size of an A4 sheet or US letter. To use less paper, select the pages per sheet option, and the puzzles will be smaller, but still high quality.
