This Thanksgiving Cinquain has students create their own Cinquain using the month of November, Thanksgiving, or Autumn as their topic. The worksheet has examples of Cinquains and how to write a Cinquain. This is a fun poetry activity for your students.

This is a science non-fiction text about rainbows written with upper elementary students in mind. It is paired with the tie-dyed milk experiment (which in this case you can call it the "make a rainbow experiment)." There is a follow-up poetry activity as well as a graphic organizer for students to use after the reading. There are directions and recording sheets for the experiment.
