Interactive Writing Bookmarks, Posters and Google Slides: Skills & Strategies

Use these 25 standards-based, interactive Writing Skills & Strategies Bookmarks, correlating posters, and Google Slides to differentiate for student needs and practice specific writing strategies. These can also be used for test prep, homework, small group instruction, and independent writing practice. Use the 23 Google slides to model skills for the whole class. Use the 8.5 x 11 inch poster during small group instruction to reteach a skill.

Bookmarks are designed with 4 bookmarks to a page, which saves on copying and paper waste, and much of the text is in the Open Dyslexic font to support struggling readers. Bookmarks and posters can be printed in either color or grayscale/B&W. 

My own students are absolutely in love with these bookmarks. We recently completed the Show, Don't Tell bookmark since that is a skill so many kids struggle with. Summer Writing Prompts Journal: Writing Challenge Activities for 3rd & 4th Grade:

This 30-Day Summer Writing Challenge for 3rd and 4th graders contains a variety of engaging writing material for your students. There are 30 different writing activities (2 sheets per activity, created to be copied back-to-back and bound into a writing journal, if you choose). For a total of 60 writing pages, you will see the following activities:

These writing activities are purposeful but fun. Students will find that completing all of them is challenging but rewarding. Some teachers stretch the challenge to 60 days so students have two days to complete each activity. I also reward my students with a pizza lunch party if they meet the writing challenge (for the summer challenge, I plan the pizza party during the first or second week back to school).
