This assessment is good to use for a pre/post assessment to see what your students know about fractions. This assessment covers NF.1, NF.2, NF.3, and G.2 of the 3rd grade core. Students will show what they know about identifying, partitioning, and comparing fractions.

This assessment comes with a standards based rubric. This is on a scale of 1-4 and each question is tied to a specific standard.

This presentation includes 10 questions (23 slides total) that has students work in groups to determine which statement is true between two given proportional relationships. Which has the higher unit rate? Which has the lower unit rate? Which of the two representations is actually proportional? Each student chooses a different pair of numbers (one fraction, one whole or mixed), make up a corresponding word problem for multiplication and one for division using their two numbers, answers the question using a representation, and checks their answer using keep-change-flip. An MYP Communication rubric (out of 8) and a 100 point rubric are both included so you can choose.

A little fun for Thanksgiving! Find the factors of a number and put them on a turkey feather!

Three level of difficulty to meet all your student needs!

For the first two pages, the students know how many factors they need to find. If they have too many or too few, it is obvious they need to try again. Great for error analysis and self checking!

The third page is slightly more difficult. The students must draw their own feathers. No clues are given if they have too many or too few factors!
