The Science Kids curriculum is intended to help teachers implement developmentally appropriate, hands-on science activities for children in Preschool, Kindergarten and the early grades. Causes of water insecurity including unsustainable irrigation techniques, climate change, droughts, pollution events, and contamination. Impacts including loss of crops, lower crop yield, livestock death, and waterborne diseases. Management strategies including rationing, international aid, reduction in use, and sustainable extraction.

Unit#7 Managing the Atmosphere

Formation of sulfuric and nitric acids and strategies to reduce acid deposition. Impacts of acid deposition. Sources of chlorofluorocarbons and process of ozone depletion.
