The Thanksgiving Words Fingerspelling activity has 12 Thanksgiving themed words that students must decode letter by letter to spell words. Your students will love using fingerspelling to figure out these words! Use them as an independent center activity or as a whole class when they come in from recess or specials.

The Google slides activity engages your students as a whole group during a math lesson. Details and skills :

• Page 1: Introduce a lesson on graphing coordinates using a Map Grid skills learned in 2nd & 3rd grade. Students will use letters and numbers to locate each winter-themed object and record the coordinates.

• Page 2: Practice decoding the coordinates for different winter objects on a first-quadrant coordinate plane.

• Pages 3 & 4: Practice identifying coordinate pairs on a graph using snowflakes as points. The worksheet will also help your little learners practice visual discrimination skills, visual perception, and scanning.

• Page 5: Plot a number of coordinates to find a secret message. This can help motivate your students to try their best to get the message right by plotting the coordinates correctly and accurately.

• Page 6: Practice graphing skills by finding the ordered pairs of each winter object located on a "Snow Day" image drawn as a coordinate plane. This is also great to learn some useful winter vocabulary.
