Idioms are so fun to learn! Don't take them too literally! There are so many idioms that I have made a classroom set of idiom pages. Each student gets their own idiom. They then get to draw a literal meaning of the picture for everyone to giggle at. Then at the bottom of the page they write what the idiom really means.
