Mad Minutes Add & Subtract Within 5 Kindergarten Build Math Fluency
By Regina Frazier
Mad Minutes Addition & Subtraction within five~In Kindergarten students need to add and subtract fluently within five. Use these Mad Minutes worksheets to assess your students. Common Core Standard K.OA.A.5
You will receive the following:
Suggestions: Spread out your students at different tables throughout your room. I usually sit students behind privacy screens. Pass out the paper and have your students write their names on it. Instruct students not to write anything else. Tell all your students to put their hands on their heads. Set your timer. You can use a visual timer on your smart board or any other type of timer you have. When I first start using Mad Minutes, I start off with 3 minutes for kindergartners. You can decrease your time as students get more practice. Tell students to begin working when you start the timer. If students finish before the timer goes off, instruct your students to put their hands on their heads and collect their papers. They must sit quietly until the timer goes off so other students can keep working. Once the timer goes off all the remaining students must put their hands on their hands and you can then collect all the papers.

Subitizing Domino Clip Cards || Numbers 1-12 || Domino Variations
By Pacific Street Playschool
Subitizing Domino Clip Cards || Numbers 1-12 || Domino Variations
These subitizing clip cards were created to be used in busy bins, activities for math center, an activity for small group instruction, or as an assessment tool.
What's Included?
. 22 black and white clip cards
. Single domino representations on each clip card
. 22 cards representing numbers 1-12
What is Subitizing?
Subitizing is a skill that involves quickly recognizing quantities without counting. As students develop their subitizing skills, they move through different phases, or levels, of subitizing:
Perceptual subitizing
This is the first phase of subitizing, and involves instantly recognizing small quantities, usually up to five. It's instinctive, and is often taught first because it's a building block for the next level. For example, a student might quickly name the quantity of four gems as "four".
Conceptual subitizing
This phase involves identifying the quantity of smaller groups within larger sets, and then combining them to name the total. For example, a student might see two fours in the eight of a domino. This phase requires more thought than perceptual subitizing.
How Do I Use These Cards?
. Simply print, cut, and laminate (these can be used over and over again for years to come)
. Encourage students to look at each card and group the numbers to get a total. This can be accomplished by counting each dot and adding together or by subitizing
. Promote fine motor skills by having students mark the correct answer with clothespins. You can differentiate for students by having them place buttons, pom-poms, or other small objects on the numbers as they identify them.
Suggested Uses:
. Assessment tool to determine students subitizing level
. Add to math centers for students to freely explore and count
. Add to morning boxes or busy boxes for students to complete
. Use as part of small group work to assess counting principles (stable order, correspondence, cardinality, abstraction, and order irrelevance).
. Use as part of transition times as (lining up, walking in halls, handwashing) to have students subitize while they wait

French Numbers 0 - 100 - Calculez en Français
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
This French numbers dictée lesson is very comprehensive and will challenge students in a fun and meaningful way with 5 different activities to practice and master French numbers once and for all.
This resource is included in my Ça y est, je parle français French 1 & 2 curriculum bundle!
This product includes (see preview for more details):
1. Numbers 0-50 chart, PDF
2. Numbers 51-100 chart, PDF
3. Dictée, MP3: 20 random numbers + student response sheet + answer key
4. Dictée, MP3: 50 simple math equations + student response sheet + answer key
5. Quizlet study set: 0-50
6. Quizlet study set: 51-100
7. Quizlet study set: Multiplication tables 2-10
8. How to use this lesson
Dictée #1 : This dictée is less than 3 minutes. Give each student a response sheet.
Students listen to the dictée and write the number they hear both as words and digits.
Dictée #2 : This dictée lasts about 10 minutes and requires a lot of concentration. It is called CALCUL RAPIDE. Students hear 50 simple math equations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Technically students as young as 9 or 10 should be able to do the math. I got this idea from my daughter’s 3rd grade class in France (CE2). Of course, being in French makes “simple math” a lot more difficult and will challenge even high school age non-native speakers.

Addition Timed Fact Quizzes & Tracking Sheets for Math Fact Fluency
By Techie Turtle Teacher
Motivate your students to learn their addition facts within 20 by using this set of addition quizzes and tracking sheets. Students will graph their scores on their tracking sheet each time they take a timed test. Use the bulletin kite as a way to motivate students to improve their scores.
What is included?
What addition strategies are covered?
How do you use the kites?
I gave each student a kite to decorate.
They colored and wrote math facts on the kites.
I hung the kites up on a wall in the classroom.
(For this product, I also included kites that are colored if you want to skip the step of having your students color their own kites.)
Each week my students take a timed fact test.
They have 2 minutes to complete 25 problems.
After I grade the tests, the students graph the number of correct answers.
When students get a higher number on their graph, they receive a piece of string to attach to their kite.
The goal is that students get a higher number of facts correct each week and earn a piece of string.
When students get 25 facts correctly, their goal is to beat their previous speed.
If they complete the facts faster than they did the previous week, they will earn a piece of string for their kites.
Aligned with Common Core State Standards:
1.OA.6: Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 - 4 = 13 - 3 - 1 = 10 - 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 - 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).
2.OA.2: Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies. By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
