- Counting coins and bills using multiple choice and text-entry questions.
- Rounding and estimating money and prices.
- Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and decimals to find the sum, count/give change, calculate earnings/income, determine sale prices, compare and contrast cash versus credit, and more.
- Summarizing data using a dot plot or table.

Rational & Irrational Numbers Differentiated Review Activity | Grade 8 Math

Level Ups are a fun way to challenge your students to complete various levels of mastery on working with rational & irrational numbers. Aligned to the common core standards, Level Ups provide 5 levels of challenge for your students to complete, starting with pre-requisite fractions and square root skills all the way up to estimating non-perfect squares, solving multi-step equations involving squares and cubes, and writing repeating decimals as fractions.
Students start at level zero and work their way up to level 4, giving them accurate feedback on what they have mastered, and what they still need to work on. This lesson works as a great way to review rational & irrational numbers after teaching the concepts, or as preparation for an upcoming assessment.
