Giant Keyboard (Mac/Apple). Are you teaching a technology or keyboarding class? Do you have a computer lab you need to decorate? This giant printable keyboard would be great to print out, cut the keys apart, laminate and place on your wall. This wall sized keyboard is modeled after a Mac / Apple keyboard. Keys come in two sizes: 6"x5.8" & 4"x4" *Updated 9/1/15* Keyboard now includes the number pad, arrows and other keys. Large size prints 1 key per page. The size measures approximately 60"x20" (using spacing show in image) once you have cut out the letters / assembled the keyboard, but really depends on how much space you want to put between the keys. Are you math teacher and have been thrown into teaching a computer science course? Now you have NO IDEA where to start! Have you taught computer science, but want to try something else? Math and computer science are related, but are not the same!
I have your back. I've been teaching math and computer science, including APCSP, APCSA, and Data Structures for almost two decades. I also teach an introduction course. This is part of the course I made up for my intro students. I have a BS in computer science and know what students need to know.
This is part 0 ("computer people" start counting at 0, we'll learn why!) and part 1 of an introductory Programming in Java lesson. These lessons are meant to be done on the first few days; the idea is to get students doing cool stuff as fast as possible. With Java, that is NOT an easy task.

Let students explore and make mistakes. Let them talk to each other and discuss their approaches. Programming takes a lot of trial and error.

Adobe Photoshop "i Am" Silhouette | Distance Learning

Adobe Photoshop “iAm” Project gives students an opportunity to express their personality and interests as they create a silhouette from a picture of themselves showing off something that defines them. The lesson uses simple Adobe Photoshop techniques to learn the Pen Tool, work with backgrounds, layers and text. The lesson provides step-by-step instructions and also includes links to tutorials students can use as they need to complete the lesson.
This is a fun lesson for the beginning of the year to help students get to know each other, or a good lesson during the year to learn more about each other. These look great printed and displayed too! This lesson was created for an 8th grade class, but would be appropriate for any beginning Adobe Photoshop user.

Want to introduce your students to different countries of the world? My Country in Focus series, highlights a country with a web quest, some fun facts and some extension activities. The second in the series is India.India is a country in Asia. After China, it has the world's largest population. Did you know that it was ancient India which gave the world the idea of the zero? Did you know that the game Chutes and Ladders comes from an Indian board game? Did you know that more people speak English in India than in the United States? If you travel to India, make sure to visit it's most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal! Let's Explore India...

Business, Art, Graphic Arts and Technology classes will love these design lessons! Eight different lessons to create high interest projects in the areas of Fashion Design, Interior Design and Graphic Design give students a choice of which activity they would enjoy. Or, if you prefer, you can choose one or two to assign to your class. Each lesson gives an option that students can do on the computer or without any technology at all.
This lesson is great for distance learning/remote learning. You can upload it to your school's learning management system (Google Classroom, Edmodo, Canvas, etc.) or share with students via Google Drive.
Included in this download are the requirements for each of these lessons and resources for ideas, along with a rubric and sample completed lesson. Students choose from:
1. Create a fashion from duct tape.
2. Create a fashion collage
3. Revise and remake a historic fashion
4. Create a logo
5. Use typography to create a graphic alphabet
6. Create a poster
7. Design a piece of furniture
8. Remodel/redesign a bedroom
Each project takes 2-3 (50 minute) class periods.
This lesson was created for an 8th grade Principles of Arts, AV Technologies & Communications class, but would be suitable for any secondary classroom.

Geographical web quest which introduces kids to the continent of Antarctica. There are 10 web quests(with lots of information in the questions), 14 Did You Know? facts, comprehension questions(including several "thought question"), a teacher page with a number of extension activities, additional links and key. Want a student version, just send me a note and I will send one along.
NOTE: If you'd like a student version so you can use it with Google Classrooms and not have the teacher section with the key, just email me via Q/A and I will be happy to send you a copy.
Great for a Friday activity, before a vacation, or when you are looking for a geography resource.

Learn about Jacques Cousteau with this Reader's Theater Script: Oceanographer, photographer,filmmaker, scientist, writer, inventor, Cousteau spent his life studying the oceans and the marine life that lived in the oceans. His books and films on his studies sparked much interest in our oceans and created an awareness about the need for marine conservation. Part of my Ms. Bie Ografee Talk Show Series where Jacques Cousteau is a guest on her talk show and answers questions of her studio audience. 3. Learn about the history of Earth Day and, our planet, EARTH, with this informative web quest. There are 15 web questions as well as comprehension questions and a Did You Know? fun fact section. The teacher page includes extension activities, the key, and additional links.
