Enhance your French as a second language classroom with this resource designed to help students use and practice vocabulary related to clothing and fashion. Whether you want to create a dynamic fashion show or stimulate creativity with a fashion inspiration board, this resource has sentence models and examples to help beginner II and intermediate leveled students practice French.
*This resource should be used after students have already been introduced to sentence structure, basic clothing vocabulary, adjectives, colors and present tense verbs.
This resource includes the following:

A printable French/English clothing vocabulary list
Four conversation mats to help students plan and write
Five project examples with sample sentence models for FSL students
A list of simplified teen styles and descriptions

Projects and activities:
Beginner II to Intermediate levels:
-A written fashion show template and model
-Fashion Inspiration board template
-Create a catalog sales page for a your own store
- An option for students to create a personal video clip of their fashion choices (a very basic sample student video included)
-Research an online store website (questions to answer)
-Prepare a "red carpet" interview video with your "favorite" celebrity (record with green screen for more fun)
Intermediate:
-Research a fashion style for teens and make a graphic collage to display the style and write short descriptions for each element of the style.
These projects can be done over several classes, by starting your FSL class off each day with a lesson on sentence structure. Students write sentences each day to add to the writing templates. It is helpful if students also share orally the sentences to get extra practice.
