These graphic organizers are designed to be used with any story or book. They are great for small groups, literature circles, reading workshop, centers, or use with your reading program. About Resource #2: Evidence-based Response Rubrics - EDITABLE!

Citing Evidence Rubrics

16 pages

Suitable for Grades 5-12

PDF and Editable Versions

This resource includes:

4 Evidence-Based Response Rubrics (in two variations – totaling 8 rubrics!)

*******************************

Citing evidence is an important skill that students MUST master to demonstrate credibility, proficiency, and sense of eloquence. This resource includes four rubrics that capture students’ level of mastery when using evidence. These rubrics evaluate students’ abilities to support their ideas, inferences, claims, and/or responses with relevant text evidence. It also evaluates the strength and thoroughness of their explanations/analysis of evidence.

All 8 Rubric pages are EDITABLE for you to adjust and modify to meet your needs!

The four rubrics come in two different variations (totaling 8 rubrics):

Variation #1: The FOUR rubrics are created individually on one page and includes a “Comments/Feedback” section for you to complete.

Variation #2: The same FOUR rubrics are minimized to two (of the same rubric) on one page without the “Comments/Feedback” section.

Please note, the editable version does not contain the same fonts and borders that are in the PDF version because they are copyrighted materials by contributing clip art artists. The editable version has been created using Times New Roman fonts to ensure full and complete access of the rubrics without any formatting issues. Additionally, I replaced some of the copyrighted clip art with “free to use” clip art! You may modify the fonts and add your own clip art and borders as you wish!

I loved the variety of activities and how guided the teacher slides were and the student note catcher. Everything was so clear and prepared that I could have easily left it for a sub as well.
