This resource can be used during a unit of study on the election process and/or can be used during the yearly Presidential State of the Union Address in January. I have also included a worksheet that students could be given to use if they should watch the State of the Union Address.

Part of my Ms. Bie Ografee series of plays, this Reader's Theater Script is on the "Father of the Constitution", James Madison(1751-1836), and his sharing with students the history of the writing of the Constitution. Madison who would become the 4th President of the United States(1809-1817)), played a very important role in the forming of our US Constitution. In addition to being a delegate, he introduced the first additions to the Constitution(amendments) which came to be known as the Bill of Rights. 1. The Eagle Has Landed. Man Walks on the Moon, A Reader’s Theater Script. After 76 days, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, the astronauts for the historic Apollo 11 mission to the moon, made history on July 20, 1969. **April 26th is National Pretzel Day!**Use this reading passage to show students that everything has a history, even pretzels! The term FAKE News seems to be used a lot these days! April Fool's Day is a great opportunity to begin a discussion with students on FAKE and REAL news.

A recent survey found that many young people(and adults for that matter) can't seem to determine which is a real news story from a fake news story. 4. A Biologist and marine zoologist, Carson’s books shared her love of nature, especially the ocean and its inhabitants. Seventh graders can concentrate better on enhancing the skills they started to cultivate in 6th grade without the extra pressure of adapting to the new middle school setting. By 7th grade, it is anticipated that students have adjusted to middle school life and are thus expected to operate more autonomously while managing their time and schedules with diminished (but still some) support.

Typically, in 7th grade, students expand upon the abilities they acquired in 6th grade by engaging with more intricate and lengthy texts and essays in both writing and reading. This effort will equip them for 8th grade, where they will solidify and enhance their skills, ultimately positioning them for success in high school.

In 7th grade, learners enhance their skills in analyzing the texts they read and supporting their analysis with evidence from the text.
