Are you looking for an easy and fun way to review Earth Day vocabulary with your Spanish students? Then look no further! This low-prep set of three matamoscas (flyswatter) games is a great way to practice or review Earth Day-related vocabulary with your elementary or secondary class.

This activity is intended for use as a paired game, but it can also be used as a large-group game (by projecting the chosen game page onto your whiteboard). If you're not familiar with how the game is played, it's simple: all you need to play is enough copies of the game board and two different colored writing utensils per pair of students. You call out terms from the call list included with the game boards and each person scrambles to find and mark it before their partner. At the end of the game, the player with the most terms marked wins!

They will practice their adjective agreement, speaking, and listening skills in small groups without even realizing they are learning! Pesca is the perfect hands-on activity for introducing and practicing vocabulary, brain breaks, fast finishers, Fun Friday activities…the possibilities are endless!

Multiple uses for the cards:

• Matching: Students practice pairing the images with the words in Spanish.
