Easter Sudoku

♣ Print out 1 sudoku per student.

♣ Students cut off the right side of the sheet along the dotted line and cut out the missing sudoku pictures. They glue them into the sudoku grid so that all 6 words appear in each row, column and 2x3 frame.

♣ Each word must appear in each row, column and 2x3 frame only once.

An Escape Room activity about the origins of Easter and the modern traditions around the world. Ideal for fifth grade or sixth grade, the activity is perfect for group work; a great holiday activity; team-building activities; or for a fun, engaging and interactive lesson. The activity has been split into four different tasks; your students will need to complete each of the tasks to reveal a word. Together the four words make a phrase for them to escape the room.

In Task 1 students will read an informational text about Easter and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.

In Task 2 students will use the same informational text to complete a crossword puzzle. Within the puzzle there are several hidden letters which will need to be unscrambled on the completion of the puzzle to reveal the second word.

In Task 3 students will have to cut out 27 timeline task cards about important holidays or festivals celebrated in the United States and around the world. When they have finished their task they can glue them onto the answer key which will reveal their third word.

In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word.

Students can then complete their student answer key with the four words they revealed before checking with the teacher to see if they have escaped successfully.

There are 6 pages with 4 cards per page. Print, Laminate, cut out, and you're ready to play!

There is also an answer page to help match the words to the definition, and a printable instructions page with 2 options for activities.

Instructions #1

1. Distribute cards to all people (you must use all of the cards).

2. Choose one student to read his/her card.

3. When a student hears the definition that matches the “I have…” word on the card, he/she reads the card aloud.

Writing a story about a pet Peep is a project for your students to show their creativity. This product includes information to share with your students about what a story is, what is shared in a story, who the audience can be, what is the author's purpose for writing a story, and how the story can be published. This Easter FSL (French as a second language) resource is filled with printable no prep activities for April (March). There are vocabulary flashcards, writing and drawing prompts included. Looking for a no prep and engaging Easter activity that also helps your students practice one step equations? Let your fifth graders practice one step equations (no negatives) while they solve the mystery in this fun digital escape room activity.

Based on the premise that the rabbit needs help to find four eggs, your students will explore different locations full of activities. After completing all four activities they will find the eggs.

A printable version of the questions is also included.

Since this escape room is online (interactive pages) there is very little prep; just provide the link, and off they go! There are no locks to configure or clues to hide—everything you need is online. No Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams logins are necessary.

You can use it as:
