Writing Prompts Activity - No Prep/Just Print!

By Early Childhood Essentials

WHAT'S INCLUDED (+recommendations)

I've included 10 iterations of the same activity (+ a blank set for complete freedom in creating the words. I'd encourage at least 1 of each of the 4 parts of speech - noun, verb, adjective, adverb). Directions on each page go into detail.

Students don't need to use all 10 in one go! Give them all the same one or two each day in a particular week, or longer if necessary. Or give them different ones the same day (one student might get the first 2 sets, another student the next 2, etc.) and it might deter copying.

Print in color so the key/code makes sense.

By Mrs Wates Teaching Creations

Unlock the world of symmetry with this engaging and fun Symmetry Pack. This pack is easy to download and print. Your students will explore the fascinating concept of color symmetry. They'll be challenged to draw the missing side of adorable animal illustrations and then color them to match the image on the left. This activity promotes visual perception, fine motor skills, and an understanding of symmetrical patterns. The Symmetry Pack also includes answer key cards that students can use to self-assess their drawings. After completing a drawing activity, students can compare their own creation to the corresponding answer card provided. This self-checking feature offers students an opportunity to evaluate their work independently and identify any areas that may require adjustments.

You can take full advantage of these key card images by printing them out and using them as puzzle pieces. This interactive activity not only reinforces the concept of symmetry but also enhances fine motor skills, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving abilities. With the combination of engaging drawing exercises, creative challenges and the puzzle-like nature of the reference images, the Symmetry Pack offers a dynamic and immersive learning experience.

This pack consists of:

  • Section 1 - 12 colored worksheets
  • Section 2 - 30 simple animal worksheets
