4th Grade Geography Webquests

Want to introduce your students to the region of the world called the Middle East? This webquest will work great. Additionally, I have included several extension activities that I think will be of value.It would be a great one day activity for before a vacation or for an enrichment activity or for a unit of study on this part of the world. THERE ARE 15 WEBQUESTIONS IN THE COMPLETE RESOURCE.

Studying the Age of Exploration? This fun and informative webquest will be a great resource to use with your students(grades 4-8)

There are 14 questions and lots of extension activities and links. There are also comprehension questions to use after the completion of the web quest.

Learn about the country of Brazil with this informational web quest. There is also a map skill activity and fun facts. Additionally, there is a teacher page with extension activities and additional links.

Although the map skill/webquest can be completed in one session, if you opt to do the extension activity, additional days could be used.

With North Korea being in the news a lot lately, this might be a great opportunity to introduce students to the "Hermit Kingdom". St. Patrick's Day is coming-a wonderful opportunity to introduce your students to the country of Ireland. Did you know that Ireland is called the Emerald Island because of its green fertile lands? Did you know that the Celtic knot is a very famous symbol of Ireland? On February 28, 1803, President Thomas Jefferson got approval by the Congress for an expedition to explore the lands of the Louisiana Purchase. Meriwether Lewis and William Clark and about 31 other men began the journey. Originally given $2500, the final cost of this trip came to around $38,000. St. Patrick's Day is coming-a wonderful opportunity to introduce your students to the country of Ireland. Did you know that Ireland is called the Emerald Island because of its green fertile lands? Did you know that the Celtic knot is a very famous symbol of Ireland?
