This is a paper based, Summer themed resource. Examples of products featured: Beach toys, coolers, flip flops, sunscreen, towels, etc.

This resource is designed to expose students to a variety of real-world shopping situations. Students are given a prices on products and are asked to look at the money provided and determine if they have enough money. Students will also be asked look at the price of real products and identify the correct amount of money needed. Students will also calculate totals of multiple items

The Sun Salutation sequence is a great way to start the day or any yoga practice! It helps children feel present and stress-free while drawing energy like the heat of the sun. We often use Sun Salutations to create a flow of movement from one pose to the next. What is included?

This set includes a plethora of resources and it will keep you busy throughout the school year! I have included animals, holidays, counting, shapes, colors and more.

While many sets are made with the early literacy / early math skills in mind there are also books that can be used as your students grow their skills. I have even my biggest sellers are included in this massive bundle of 40 products!

Why Adapted books?

I personally love using adapted books. I have found them to be motivating to even my most reluctant learners. They are a great resource for such a wide range of learners as well as I can easily modify my instruction for the needs of each student.

I have used them with students who are just learning to sit in their seats and follow directions. Adapted books can easily be modified for students by providing less visual options.

I have also used them with student who are reluctant learners. They may already be confident in the skills presented in the books, however benefit from a learning activity they know they will do succeed with. It is a great starting activity!

Do you have a student who is working on identifying "wh" questions? Place a post it note over picture on each page. Read, ask the "wh" question, and your student can check their answer by checking under the post it note.

Once I have my books prepared they are sturdy, easily cleaned & stored. I store mine in a crate that supports hanging folders. They are sorted by topic and easy to grab and go. We use them in stations, with substitutes, my classroom aides, and when student want to read with peers. They are often requested as well!

How are they prepared?

These books do require some prior prep work. Once they have been created however they are able to be used year after year with a variety of students. I generally print, laminate, bind and velcro them so they can be reused. The adaptive books are designed with students ability to interact with learning material. Each book has interactive icons. Students will have options of 8-10 choices for each story.

Adaptive Books with a theme of Shapes. Each thematic set (Christmas/fall etc.) includes multiple adaptive books. Each book within the set (for example acorns) will have 2 levels of books. One book will be provided with visual support and one adaptive book without visual support.

These books require some prep work; however, once made, you can use them year after year! They utilize limited color ink for easy printing.

Give your students practice solving 3-digit addition and subtraction one step word problems during July. These interactive task cards will get your students up moving around while practicing their word problem skills at the same time! All of the addition and subtraction 3-digit word problems have a summer theme, with problems centered around July – beach, fireworks, parades, picnics, camping, baseball, ice cream, summer camp, etc.
