WHAT'S NEW (Sept 2024):

• Options for one check per day instead of three. The original has 3 check boxes per day on both 5-day and 7-day versions. Now, you have the option for just one checkbox for each version. Note that the version with one check box has only a white background.
• Link to Canva template to make your own! To make this your own, grab the link (in purchase) to this as a template and have at it! You may decide to make a single day version or change the colors, or type out recurring rewards that are personal to your family or classroom.
• Formatting. I changed “week of” to the side and added a “month of.” I resized the charts for more standard printing. I added white background options also. Updated my contact page since it was outdated, and the main thumbnail also.

For encouraging desired behavior, reducing undesired behavior, or general encouragement to help around the home/class more, these charts can easily motivate and monitor progress.

This product is perfect to place outside of your classroom that will inform coworkers where your class is throughout the school day. Laminate, cut out the check mark, place velcro on board and back of the check mark and have students move the check mark throughout the school day. This activity is not just about providing information, but also about engaging parents and students in a fun and interactive way. Instead of just sending home a letter, students will create junk journals about their school, which they can take home. These journals will include important dates, contact information about their teacher, a reading bookmark for reading at home, the school year, principal information, a fun activity to do at home or school, bus number,  and other school information. This interactive approach will help parents and students feel more connected to the school.

Knowing what signs indicate sensory needs is imperative for adults working with students with autism or sensory processing disorders. This poster gives indicators of ONE type of sensory need 'vestibular'. It also pairs signs that a student may be over or underresponsive to vestibular sensory and activities to help the student self-regulate under either circumstance. This Lesson Plan or Scope and Sequence was created for special education or life skills classes. Each lesson has three levels that are vertically aligned to provide access for ALL students to the standards, the leveled activities are for guided or independent practice. The units are set up in two-week increments and include two whole group lessons with links to videos or songs that align with the unit of study. Scheduling students and staff members can be difficult in a self-contained classroom. This editable schedule allows for you to customize your daily activities so that you can look at a glance and know where everyone of your staff and students should be. This really helps classroom staff as well as administrators know where to find teachers, paras, and students.

When a new student comes to class there are several things that take priority to everything else. I made this document after enrolling several new students this year. It has simplified my life tremendously by having a guide to go by when speaking with parents of new students. It also helps tremendously to fill out one of these on each student at the beginning of the year so that paras and teachers have a quick guide to go by per student.

This daily communication log is vital to any special education teacher. This easy to fill out communication log creates a collaborative relationship between staff and families while building trust and strong relationships.

☏Keep parents informed of how students are doing at school and which activities they are completing each day while giving parents the opportunity to share vital information such as medications given and how students slept the night before.
