How can you use this resource?

⭐Build all the task cards in one sitting. This typically takes 1 – 2 hours to complete the set.

⭐Have the task cards available alongside STEM and STEAM bins, makerspaces, centers, tubs, busy boxes, morning baskets, or available for early finishers to complete using any available materials. Students can even draw their creations instead of building them!

⭐Complete one challenge a day in conjunction with the different ASK, BRAINSTORM, PLAN, CREATE, TEST, and REFLECTION prompts. These can be used as class/partner discussion, or as a writing or journal prompt.

⭐Use them for public speaking practice. Allow students to build as many cards as predetermined, followed by show and tell with the class, or their families. What to do:

I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. This ten-station All About Me-themed Gallery Walk will introduce a slice of humor into your first day or week of school! Students will get to know each other, you as teacher will get to know your students (and plus they will think you are SUPER cool).

What needs to be prepared?

• Print ONE set of station cards, and print one coloring sheet and answer recording sheet per student. You can also print the student and teacher instructions if you feel it's needed. This is a very printer-friendly product, as everything but the instructions are in black and white!
• Cut the 10 station cards in half, then display them on tables or walls or wherever you want to play the game.
• Hand out the coloring sheet and answer recording sheet to each student
• Read everyone the directions and have fun! (for a fun bonus make it a pizza party!)

How do we play?

Students visit each of the ten stations. They read the All About Me question and choose an answer. Then, they mark the answer on their recording sheet. Each answer correlates to a pizza ingredient. Once all stations are completed, students will have 10 ingredients total ( . . . and maybe some of them are grosser than others). These are the ingredients they use to draw and color their goofy pizza on the included coloring sheet.

In this weather display pack you get a poster that you can use with students to discuss what the weather is like today. I have weather cards that you can laminate and velcro to the poster in two shapes, either a rectangle or circles. The circles also include a hot / cold temp.

All items in this theme pack are Word Documents contained in a zip file. You will need to have a copy of Microsoft Word to open up and edit the document. All pages are flattened images. If you want to change any of the words in the document or add your own you can simply draw a textbox on the page and add your own text!
