End of Year ESL Activity: ELL Lap Book for After State Testing Activities Fun

End of Year ESL ELL Lapbook Activity - Digital Reflections Lap Book:
End of Year ESL Reflections Lap Book: Do you teach ESL ELL classes? Do you have ELA kids in your class that have received English instruction during the year?
I spent time searching for an end-of-year project that my ESL students could do to reflect on their year acquiring English and couldn't find anything that seemed suitable. That's where the birth of this ESL Reflections Lap Book comes in! It is perfect for elementary-age students (I'm not listing Kinder on the description, but if given adequate help, kindergarten students could complete the project as well).
This ESL Reflections Lap Book contains the following pages:
- Cover Page - 1 page
- Folding a Lap Book Images and Instructions - 1 page
- Pictures and their Corresponding Page Numbers - 2 pages
- Student Printable Pages for Constructing the Lap Book - 10 pages
- Optional Extra Page with Clip Art for Decorating Lap Book - 1 page
Please check the thumbnails and the preview to determine if this project is suitable for your needs.
Please note that this project takes up to a week to complete. I like to do one flap each day and then save time at the end for students to share their lap books with each other.
Students will need guidance and help to construct their lap books, and a teacher should be available to help during this entire time.

Telling Time Lapbook is a great activity for students in the primary level. Included in this are two files designed for individual project (My Telling Time Lapbook) and group project (Our Telling Time Lapbook). This can be a project on topics about how to tell time and practicing how to ask and answer questions relating to time and activities. This helps the students' creativity and connect their own ideas to the lessons in class or in modules they have for their homeschooling activities. This is also a great activity for kids at home to pass the time productively. A great showpiece for your Open House events!

ESL Valentine bundle writing speaking kindness friends February basic EAL ELL

This Valentine’s Day ESL bundle (English as a second language) has lot’s of low prep activities for February. This resource focuses on themes such as kindness, friendship and love. Many handouts could be used any day you need a print and go lesson (example: week of kindness, jar of compliments, nonfiction reading comprehension text, or an explosion box gift card craft).
Resource 1:
Included:
-New vocabulary with images (22 flashcards) and suggested activities
-Writing prompts with a focus on friendship and kindness (see below)
-Valentine cards to print and color (with and without words)
Examples of short writing prompts:
Tell us about a friend
What can you do during a “a week of kindness”?
Write about things you love
How would you help someone with a problem?
Write simple compliments to classmates (compliment jar)
Worksheets with a Valentine’s theme
Crossword and various exercises for Valentine’s vocabulary

Finally, students may also become music critics as they listen to a selection of songs curated for February. A template is included to help students share their opinion on the songs.

Students may also watch the short film « The Box ». There are questions for class discussion or for students to respond independently in writing.

Winter Season and Cold Season Interactive Lapbook is a great activity for students in the primary level. It is part of Seasons Interactive Lapbook Collection which are sets of fun projects to supplement on lessons relating to seasons as well as a form of assessment for what they learned on the topic as discussed in class. This helps the students' creativity and connect their own ideas to the lessons in class or in modules they have for their homeschooling activities. Give your learners an exciting first day or back to school activity with this ALL ABOUT ME FOLDABLE! This is a fun activity for students to learn about themselves and share with others. It has 12 (6 boys and 6 girls) different designs and comes in black-and-white and colored versions. Students can choose the design that best represents them and fill it in with information about themselves, such as their name, age, and favorite things.
