Lead your students in fun craft making with 2 nutcrackers (red or blue) by cutting out the pieces, coloring, gluing the parts together and decorating. Students will love putting together their nutcracker activities together by using their problem solving skills through these fun activities, and won't even realize how much they're having fun! Use it after reading a story about nutcrackers, go to the Nutcracker Ballet or sing a song nutcrackers. Explore the history of where and how they are made. Rock the duck to sleep while listening to 3/4 time signature, reinforce rhythm decoding while your students chant and move along with the song composed for this classic by Doreen Cronin.
