This Life Skills lesson is tailored for older special education students with special needs who are preparing for the workforce. It covers four main job types—Full-Time, Part-Time, Seasonal, and Per Diem—and explores the pros and cons of each, such as stability, flexibility, and benefits. Through practical examples and reflective questions, students will think about their own occupation preferences. This occupations lesson provides essential vocational training to help students make informed choices as they step into employment.

The resource includes 42 slides designed to help students understand the differences between Full-Time, Part-Time, Per Diem, and Seasonal work. It features 28 multiple-choice prompts and 20 fill-in-the-blank exercises that reinforce key concepts. Additionally, 16 example jobs are provided, asking students to categorize each job type. This French reading comprehension activity will teach your students about the history of SAPEurs and their role in African culture.  It is suitable for novice-high/intermediate-low students with teacher guidance and higher-level students to work independently.  If you teach AP French, this reading can be useful in giving your students practice reading nonfiction articles for the interpretive section of the test.  The reading can lead to discussion or writing activities to include the other two modes of communication.

This is a fun seasonal Christmas and Winter Holiday geography activity that students will find engaging and fun!

This is a great lesson for the week before Winter/Holiday Break. Students will take a Christmas journey around the world! If you need an activity for 1-2 days, this lesson is easy to modify to the time limitations you may have. Not only will they have fun, but they will be learning to work together to complete the tasks! Every moment is a teaching moment.

This lesson takes students on a journey using Journey Cards to cities and towns around the world that have Christmas names. Students will work in teams and will use Google Earth Online to explore each location on the Journey Cards as well as practice plotting the absolute location of each location. Students will look at the location, the physical characteristics, and fun facts. Every moment is a teaching moment, even those days before the holiday break.

OBJECTIVES:

(1) The learner will plot the coordinates of towns with Christmas names on a coordinate plot map using latitude and longitude (Absolute Location).

(2) The learner will explore cities and towns around the world with Christmas and winter-themed names using Google Earth.
(3) The learner will identify the continent, hemisphere, physical features, and interesting physical or cultural facts related to each city or town.
(3) The learner will evaluate and compare the towns and cities' location, environment, and living conditions to determine where they would most and less likely live.

This digital student portfolio project for Google Sites is the perfect way to help your students showcase their work in a professional, organized, and user-friendly way. I envisaged this to be a September week 1 internet activity. It will give students an opportunity to think about how other people perceive them. It could also be used as a lesson in how to search Google effectively or used as a dictionary / thesaurus activity, where students have to find descriptive words in order to search for appropriate pictures on Google Images.

These have been doing the rounds on FaceBook and email recently. You may have received posters / postcards entitled "Teachers...." or "Moms..." and then under the title are a series of photos with captions like;

Each caption is accompanied by an image of what that person thinks about the other person or group of people.

The sample here is of the "Teacher..." postcard. This is NOT what I am selling. I am selling a similar template entitled, "Students..." It is laid out the same as the teacher one with the same titles (the word teacher has been replaced with student), however, the pictures are missing. Students must search Google Images for appropriate pictures that characterize themselves. The photo titles are as follows;

Basic Video Editing in Adobe Premiere Pro gives students a step-by-step lesson to learn the basic skills needed for video editing: Adding and editing files, working with audio, creating titles, and rendering and saving your project. The lesson provides step-by-step instructions and also includes links to tutorials students can use as they need to complete the lesson. Students create a short project as they follow the mini-lessons and then demonstrate their learning through a short creative project at the end of the tutorials. Looking for an engaging activity to teach Balancing Chemical Equation in class?
