Print these fun bookmarks on colored or white cardstock and provide them to your students. The goal is to challenge the students to read and keep up with the number of books they read. Once they have finished a book, they are to color it to reflect they have finished the book.

You may also choose to laminate and them and have them use a permanent marker to cross out the emoji.

This is a creative and engaging mini-project that is designed to go along with Chapters 5-7 in Night, but could also be adapted to any part of the novel.

Students will create a brochure/trifold about these three chapters by choosing three significant scenes/events (one from each of these chapters). They will explain why each scene/event is significant to the novel and illustrate their scene/event. This project is designed to promote critical thinking, while also allowing students to be creative. Rubric is included for easy assessment.

► There is a "combo" worksheet, which includes all five questions on two pages. There are also 5 separate worksheets that include the same questions on a different worksheet. This allows for more extensive responses. This product will allow your students to easily understand and analyze Tupac Shakur's "The Rose That Grew From Concrete" by breaking it down line-by-line!

Instruct your students to fold the paper in half the long way, and to cut along the black lines into the midline of the paper. They will end up with a long, skinny version of the poem on the front of the flaps, and analysis question inside.
