NEW YEAR Chart Activity (print + digital)
By Early Childhood Essentials
Update Dec 2023: Now Easel / digital option!
Anything "Easel" or digital use might operate or format differently from TeachShare, with their "Remix" feature.
Inside you'll find a simple sheet children can fill out when they have free time or end an activity early. The year at the top can be written each year.
The purpose is to get children thinking about, well, their thoughts*****! Also to think about their wants, fears, and goals.
<*metacognition is the act of thinking about thoughts**>**
They don't have to fill out the whole entire set of bullets, but encourage at least a few in each column. As the teacher or parent, you can guide them on how to process those wants/fears and reach those goals with practical, achievable steps.
I've provided a few examples for each column.
If you like this product or others, or you want to stay notified about new ones, consider giving me a follow if you haven't!

By Jennifer Connett
Students will have fun writing about acorns with these easy to follow writing prompts, thinking maps, and guidance to help them learn how to form simple sentences to write a non-fiction story.
What is Included:
This resource is differentiated to help students on various levels be successful in writing a non-fiction passage. The chart or thinking map used will depend on the level of the students in the class.

The thinking maps can be used with students who need less guidance and can think of, write, or draw their own descriptors for acorns. Students will write adjectives or draw pictures to fill in these thinking maps.
The writing pages are differentiated for students who need no help with starting sentences and for students who need the writing prompt to being their sentences.
When to Use:
