Earth Day Fraction Craft Activity - Halves, Thirds, and Fourths

This Earth Day math fraction craft activity is an engaging way for students to practice their fractions. Students will color the Earth, recycling bin, and hands based on the fraction key. There are options to color halves, thirds, and fourths. You can choose which option the students use.

After the craft is put together, students write about what fractions they used to color the Earth, recycling bin, and hands.

Students practice coloring fractions of a whole and fractions of a set.

Student Directions:

Color the Earth based on the fraction key.

Color the recycling bin based on the fraction key.

Color the hands based on the fraction key.

Cut out the Earth, the recycling bin, and the hands.

Glue the Earth to the recycling bin.

Glue the hands to the recycling bin.

Write about your Earth Craftivity. Explain what fractions you used for each part.

Glue your writing to the bottom of the recycling bin.
