Editable Bright Nameplates | Cursive | Multiplication | Place Value | Decor

By Kristen Teaches Fourth

Are you in need of cute and functional nameplates/nametags for your students? Look no further! This resource is perfect for you! These nametags measure approximately 4.27 inches high and 10.91 inches width wise (numbers will vary based on how you cut them out). These are a bit bigger so they won't fit in the holders from target but they are easy to laminate. Once you edit - print on your preferred paper (cardstock is my preference - I like Astrobrights), laminate and cut! Easy to cute - just cut across in the middle!

Students will be able to use these right away to help with their multiplication facts, place value and gives them an idea of what the cursive letters look like! I am using them in my fourth grade class and the students are already raving about how helpful they are - no more straining to see the posters!

I attach mine with velcro so that students can easily take them with them if they work in a different area of the room.

You will need a font KA Jackfruit for it to look just like mine. I included the link to purchase the font in the file. Zip files open to an editable powerpoint!

Review are appreciated and helpful for me! Please reach out with any questions or concerns!

Real-Life Math Activity/resource! Practice of Fractions - A Good Exercise!

By Daniel

It is always a good strategy to review essential skills with your students, and this is right up there with the most essential!

This fun real-life fractions exercise deals with a situation adults (especially those of us with OCD) have all faced - how to hang pictures on a wall with equal spaces between each picture. Students will face this real-life situation where they will use addition of fractions, subtraction of fractions, multiplication of fractions and division of fractions to hang these pictures equal distances apart. The exercise gives practice with proper fractions, mixed numbers, improper fractions, converting between mixed and improper fractions, obtaining the LCD, simplifying fractions etc.

  • Fractions are important for all students
  • Fractions are tough for many students
  • Fractions are often not very exciting to most students
  • Fractions are too often removed from "the real world".

Percentages | Skills Poster

By LittleStreams

This is a Skills Poster that is designed to set the grounding for a basic understanding of Percentages and how they work. This poster is meant as a complimentary aid and is to be used with other learning materials. It is a simple visualisation of percentages. Many posters and learning aids show how Percentages work in comparison to other ways of dividing and measuring. There are very few visual aids dedicated to the concept of Percentages first and foremost before comparing it to other ratio methods. The term, "percent", has it's basis in Latin. An understanding of the meaning of the word can help a basic understanding take hold before using the concept to compare it to other forms of dividing and measuring.
