You can print on white paper, coloured paper, coloured cardstock, or have students colour them in themselves. My decision to do this is in response to so many teachers having strict colour printing budgets at their schools. I wanted to find an economical way of printing these, so teachers did not have to break the bank!

What to do:

Make copies of the awards that you would like to use, either by printing an entire set or by selecting the ones you want for printing.

Insert colour paper, white paper, or cardstock for easy printing

Fill in the child’s name that you would like to honour for the award along with date and your name.

I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. This ten-station All About Me-themed Gallery Walk will introduce a slice of humor into your first day or week of school! Students will get to know each other, you as teacher will get to know your students (and plus they will think you are SUPER cool).

What needs to be prepared?

• Print ONE set of station cards, and print one coloring sheet and answer recording sheet per student. You can also print the student and teacher instructions if you feel it's needed. This is a very printer-friendly product, as everything but the instructions are in black and white!
• Cut the 10 station cards in half, then display them on tables or walls or wherever you want to play the game.
• Hand out the coloring sheet and answer recording sheet to each student
• Read everyone the directions and have fun! (for a fun bonus make it a pizza party!)

How do we play?

Students visit each of the ten stations. They read the All About Me question and choose an answer. Then, they mark the answer on their recording sheet. Each answer correlates to a pizza ingredient. Once all stations are completed, students will have 10 ingredients total ( . . . and maybe some of them are grosser than others). These are the ingredients they use to draw and color their goofy pizza on the included coloring sheet.

Alphabet flashcards / mini posters using real photos! Print these out and use them as review flashcards with your students!  The flash cards have the uppercase and lowercase letters on the bottom of the card, with an attractive image above. These cards or mini posters are great for helping students understand the relationship between the physical character and the sound it makes. The posters are alternating in color through all 6 colors. There are two posters for X (xylophone and fox) and two posters for Z (zebra and zipper). These print 4 to a page on 8.5”x11” paper.

All items in this theme pack are Word Documents contained in a zip file. You will need to have a copy of Microsoft Word to open up and edit the document. All pages are flattened images. If you want to change any of the words in the document or add your own you can simply draw a textbox on the page and add your own text! I have also included instructions on how to do this in the zip file. Make sure when you are printing you set it to Fit to Page

Students love to learn about other languages. The six Sotho words on this classroom poster

• are often used by teachers
• all rhyme with each other
• are easy to remember
• are words applicable to everyday life
• can be used in every classroom
• are given to you in their original spelling and phonetic spelling.

I am a Sotho speaker and I can promise you, since I put up this poster in my class, students use the words daily, they are interested in this tiny and unknown country, and they feel like linguistic giants (tongue in cheek).
