French Phonics- PHRASES DÉCODABLES BUNDLE- Decoding Sentence Reading Bundle-SOR
By La trousse de Madame
French Decodable activities that align with the Science of Reading in the K-2 French classroom. Students work on their phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, decoding and encoding skills and as they master the target sound.
Make a few copies of each card and insert into clear pockets to create a quick and easy reading centre; arrange a table with four copies to create a quiet reading group; use one-on-one with your students to assess reading levels, to gain insights to their decoding skills, encoding skills, and to inform your upcoming lesson plans. Students use whiteboard markers to sound out each sound in the word, each syllable, or each word in the sentence. What a great way to build confidence! Whatever way you choose to use this resource, I am so grateful that you have given this item a try!
Who can use this resource:
Teachers who are just getting accustomed to using strategies from the Science of Reading can use these simple sentence strips to open up independent practice, small group evaluation, or up on a digital screen for whole group instruction and reading practice.
Make a set and send them home with students to build fluency in reading and confidence in reading strategies.
Sentences are designed to build a number of common French sounds and get more challenging as they go on.
Correction sheet is handy for use with a substitute as they can confidently assess students and command the lesson even when they are not assured of their French skills.
Science of Reading:
These cards are aligned with sounds being taught in any Science of Reading aligned curriculum. They are set up for student success based on the research for increasing reading fluency and building student confidence in the classroom!
Once you have established the strategies for identifying sounds, initial sounds, and blending sounds, segmenting sounds, students will be able to use these self-driven sentence strips on their own. What a great way to build learning autonomy!
What grade level:
I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from K-3 will find these most useful and teachers can come back to the texts with any students who may be experiencing challenges in their French reading skills. Core French teachers will be sure to add the resource to their repertoire for Grades 4 to 6 as they learn to read and write at the Junior level.

What others are saying about my bingo game generator:
"You must purchase this! I looked all over for a way to make custom bingo boards with photos. This product is easy to use and once you get the hang of it, you can make bingo cards in a snap! I teach a few different levels of Spanish so the option to include captions or not is also amazing! Colleen has thought of everything, from the demo videos to the calling cards and everything in between. You can even choose different sized boards, edit the headings to your liking, and there are a bunch of different pre-formatted templates to choose from. Thank you so much, I love this product!"
"I looked at the demo video and this looks so easy! I can't wait to get started. I have made a lot of "teaching" bingo games and I have a lot more on my to-do list. What a time saver this will be! Thank you so much!"
“This is amazing! I purchased other bingo generators that were too confusing or just difficult to use and defeat the purpose to use a fast solution for multiple bingo cards, this was so easy and fast to use and I am glad I got it. The instructions were clear and I am glad a video was included so it was easier for me to understand how to use it.“
“This BINGO Generator has changed my life! It's so easy to use and the possibilities for creating BINGO games are endless! Thank you:)”

Present Tense Spanish Story Worksheets | La Bella y La Bestia
By Senorita Creativa
Do your students struggle with the conjugating verbs in the present tense? Then this amazing fairy tale activity is just what you've been looking for! This awesome resource with the classic story of la Bella y la Bestia is an easy-to-use and low-prep way to practice the present tense, along with reading comprehension skills.
Students love these stories because they are stories that they are already familiar with, making them more comprehensible, turning this dry and boring grammar topic into something engaging and fun!
The familiar story of Beauty and the Beast is a perfect way to practice and assess your students’ knowledge of the present tense in Spanish with easy differentiation.
This file includes two versions of the same story:
Both versions of the story are two pages long, with a separate page of comprehension questions. The two different versions make differentiation simple!
Also included in this download is:
All of these great resources are included as a zipped file. Make sure to download the preview to see everything included!
The stories include regular verbs, stem-changing verbs, reflexive verbs (despertarse, dormirse, sentirse, olvidarse, and transformarse) and irregular verbs (ser, estar, tener, “yo-go” verbs, etc).
This story would make a great emergency sub plan (2 days’ worth of material), homework assignment, or formative assessment. These stories are great for the end of Spanish 1 or as a review of the present tense in Spanish 2.

Russian Reading Program 246 Flashcards Letter Blends for Word Building Games
By Eden Digital Arts
246 Russian language reading program syllables/letter blends flashcards Printable PDF Download.
62 pages four cards per page, US-letter size pages 8.5" by 11", best if printed on thick cardstock paper and laminated for durability.
Программа для чтения на русском языке, карточки могут быть использованы для игр на построение слов и чтения.
This is a reading program that I have used to teach all three of my kids to read in the Russian language by the age of 5, as well as a class of 20 five-year-old kids that I taught to read at a Russian school. These cards could be used for kids or adults.
The method of teaching kids to read with letter blends was used in pre-Soviet Russia.
This is a fun way to teach kids to read and to spend quality time with them while teaching, as you will be learning blends and later building words together out of the flashcards.
To be used by one teacher, please do not share or redistribute the file.
Instructions for using the flashcards:
1. Download these files to your computer
2. Print them onto thick cardstock paper, or order them to be printed at your local print shop or online printing services such as Staples, Costco, or Wal-Mart; have them laminated or encase them in clear tape--that is what I used.
3. Cut the sheets up into flash cards. If you are using tape instead of a laminator, first cut then cover the sheets with tape. (This would be done much faster with a laminator.)
4. Start the teaching process by introducing the cards to the child, use one letter/letter blend at a time. Spread the cards on the table or the floor in front of the child.
5. Best way for your child to memorize the letter blends is by singing them--yes, you read that right--as adding music to the memorization process makes memorizing quicker, plus it’s more fun. Select a simple tune that your child is familiar with--the ABC song, for example--or some other song your child knows well, and sing the letters and blends on each card together. The cards are organized in the recommended pattern in your download. For example: ЛУ-ЛО-ЛА-ЛЭ-ЛЫ-Л-ЛЮ-ЛЁ-ЛЯ-ЛЕ-ЛИ-ЛЬ МУ-МО-МА-МЭ-МЫ-М-МЮ-МЁ-МЯ-МЕ-МИ-МЬ
6. After the child has memorized most of the letters/blends, you could start building words together. Start with simple words, names of family members, or simple household terms. Use objects to help the child visualize the words--for example, put his/her favorite toy in front of them and build the word yourself with the cards--then ask them to do the same.
7. This is just one of the examples of how these cards can be used to teach your child to read and, after your child learns more and more cards, they can start building whole sentences.

Whatever way you choose to use this resource, I am so grateful that you have given this item a try!
Who can use this resource:
Teachers who are just getting accustomed to using strategies from the Science of Reading can use these simple texts to open up independent practice, small group evaluation, or up on a digital screen for whole group instruction and reading practice.
Make a set and send them home with students to build fluency in reading and confidence in reading strategies.
Texts are designed to build a number of common French sounds and get more challenging as they go on.
Correction sheet is handy for use with a substitute as they can confidently assess students and command the lesson even when they are not assured of their French skills.
