Adapted Reading & Writing Assessment Pre-Primer - Third Grade

This product can be used with students as an informal/formal adapted assessment. Students will be required to identify the pre-primer, primer, 1st grade,2nd grade, and/or 3rd grade Dolch sight words. If students begin at the pre-primer level and are able to identify a specific amount of each section of sight words, they are going to be ranked as independent, instructional, or frustration when identifying those sight words. Students are then provided with a sentence or brief comprehension passage for each Dolch sight word list. The questions and short passages have been adapted and shortened compared to other reading assessments so baseline data can be collected, especially with those students are struggling. This will help gauge where students need the most support in terms of identifying sight words, reading simple sentences/passages, and answering comprehension questions that relate with what is read.

Fall Picture Sort File Folder Game

In this product, students will sort the 36 picture cards (18 fall picture cards and 18 picture cards that represent other seasons). Students will place the 18 fall picture cards under the label, "Fall," and the other 18 picture cards will be placed under, "Other Seasons." Special Education Heads Up! is perfect for teachers or related service providers with students with IEPs and 504 plans that work with students with diagnoses such as autism (ASD) or attention deficit disorder (ADHD).
Players take turns picking a card from the pile. If it's a grey card, their teammates must act it out (no talking!) for that player to guess. If they pick a blue card, their teammates must describe the term for that player to guess.
Set a timer for each turn. Each correct guess is one point. See who has the most points at the end.
