Lesson Overview

These projects have students using real-world math skills to learn to perform the calculations that are done in various careers within the seventeen career clusters. They will use math skills to learn how to compute measurements, quantities, profit, etc. to solve problems commonly found in that career field.

Are your students always asking "When will be ever USE this??" This short activity shows students a real-world use for the math skills they learn every day.

These lessons were created for 7th and 8th grade but could also be used successfully in upper elementary grades. Fully editable files are included for all lessons.

This project has students using real-world math skills to learn to perform the calculations that are done in transportation jobs. They will use formulas (included) to learn how to compute distance, volume, percentages, averages, and other basic math skills used in this industry.

Are your students always asking "When will be ever USE this??" This short activity shows students a real world use for the math skills they learn every day.

This lesson was created for 7th and 8th grade, but could also be used successfully in upper elementary grades. Includes fully editable files.

This lesson is great for distance learning/remote learning. You can upload it to your school's learning management system (Google Classroom, Edmodo, Canvas, etc.) or share with students via Google Drive.

This is a game or mat is perfect for any royal or medieval theme with prince, princess, queen, or king. The game or mat is in color and the numbers are shown periodically on the mat and the player places the number tokens in the proper spaces to fill in from 0-50 completing the game. This mat and worksheet set would be great in a math center or for individual work!

Included in this set...

• 2 Game Boards/Mats (for numbers 0-50)

• 2 Tab Labels

• Number Tokens

• Directions/Cover

• 8 Worksheets (4 for numbers 1-25 and 4 for numbers 26-50)

SUGGESTION: Print mats on card stock or paper and mount inside a file folder, put the directions on the cover and use the tab labels. For added durability, laminate the file folder.

UPDATE: This was updated to include 8 worksheets. There is 4 worksheets to do along with each of the mats for numbers 1-25 and 26-50. The worksheets include filling in the missing numbers, what comes first, what's in the middle, and what comes last. This update is NOT shown in the preview, but you can see a couple of them in the thumbnails.
